  1. For me, it’s the ASM 300 9.8 newsstand with the 1/4 inch crease clearly visible on the back cover
  2. Definitely a matter of opinion, but I like the front of the class, where I’ll remain! 🥳
  3. Honestly, the only work by Moore that I found enjoyable is From Hell, and The Killing Joke. Overall, I find his dialogue too verbose. I preferred the work of Neil Gaiman, Terry Moore, and Roger Stern over Moore.
  4. The Moore Swamp Thing run has to be the 2nd most over-rated series of all-time, surpassed only by Moore’s Watchmen.
  5. I get you, but based on your previous statement of "I believe I could buy any issue of Amazing Spiderman at any time. If I had the cash, I imagine I could have the complete series in a week", I am saying that statement holds true for any title run from the silver age to present and that's just a fact.
  6. I believe you can do that with any issue of any silver age book. Your point being what?
  7. How ironic. I always think there aren’t enough Spiderman comics to go around, given demand is insatiable
  8. Michael Jackson may have a claim to it
  9. So you have $1K to spend on common HG 20-25 cent cover price Marvels and you think you’re gonna walk away with two long boxes of comics? good luck with that!
  10. Not quite. ASM 252 preceded Peter Parker 90 and MTU 141 by two weeks
  11. Using the Marvel/DC books as the demarcation for Bronze/Copper is an…interesting approach, albeit challenging given the Superman/spiderman crossovers in the Treasuries from the 1970’s, in addition to the Batman/Hulk crossover in DC Special Series 27 (1981).
  12. I think you meant to say asm 229/230 for the Juggy storyline. ASM 228 is merely a fill-in issue (I used to own the original OA for the cover)
  13. This question pops up every few years, and the winning response has always been ASM 252
  14. Well, today is the final day of the OA auction so perhaps there will be some nice OA to pick up at decent prices?
  15. I don’t think so…this one didn’t have the look or feel of a Jim Lee PWJ cover to me
  16. Cause I thought he collects only covers?
  17. The sale of the ASM 300 cover was nowhere near $1M, and yet it was a very strong price at the time
  18. Although not in the same ballpark, folks had the same thoughts about the crazy price for the 1st x-23 cover appearance. It sold for more shortly thereafter
