  1. My response remains the same. Zeck sold it back in the day and that’s all there is to it. He is not entitled to any more. And HA is deserving of their consignment fee. that may not sit well with you, but it is what it is
  2. Why does it upset you? HA helped the seller achieve $2M more than he would have if he sold via another venue
  3. I absolutely disagree with that belief. The artist sold it, and that’s the end of it.
  4. The IH 180 page sold for $657K back in 2014. It is the most expensive NA interior panel page to sell publicly. however, I believe sales of European interior panel pages have surpassed it. Perhaps The Smurfs and/or Tin Tin
  5. Very strong results today, but let's see if these results extend into Friday and Saturday.
  6. Send me a PM with the email that you used to contact him, along with the email subject/topic, and I will reach out to him.
  7. I wish I was only paying 32% effective tax rate. must be nice!!!
  8. Would be great if we can stick to the original topic of this thread…the Jan HA auction
  9. Pretty much any issue of any comic book illustrated by Jack Kirby.

  11. This, in addition to increased interest/collectibility over the past decade of female characters and their 1st appearances!
  12. Yeah, I get the Burkey reference, although Mike Lovitz has the best Perez OA collection that I’m aware of, breadth & depth. regarding George, i would help out his art rep at numerous shows, I had the pleasure of seeing thousands of George’s fans getting sigs or sketches, and pre-done illos that they picked up from George at the show. he has always been friendly, engaging, and happy to pose for photos and hugs. A truly remarkable human being, willing to give you the shirt off his back!
  13. Wow, are you ever on a rant to denigrate ASM 194 at the top of your lungs, and across multiple threads!
  14. By this time, the house of ideas ran out of ideas and decided the best approach to increase market share was to flood the market with mostly below average titles to take as much space as possible on a retailers new comic space, and therefore squeeze out space from other publications. Morbius, along with other bad boy/darker content characters made additional appearances throughout the Marvel Universe at that time, along with receiving their own series (blaze, midnight sons, morbius, ghost rider, Nightstalkers, etc) prices for 1st appearances of these characters went up as a result of the increased exposure
  15. Right, my bad. The initial term that you used to describe the asm 194 price increase was ‘manufactured’
  16. Thanks for confirming the Punisher mini-series was the impetus for the rise in price of ASM 129. I already knew it, but didn’t have the Overstreet’s to corroborate. given the above, I see no reason to think that value of asm 194 is a ‘manipulated’ book
