  1. It may not be very noticeable as OA didn’t spike as much as other collectibles, but time will tell
  2. Let’s wait until Thursday’s platinum day results are in. by the way, the Marvel Spotlight #5 that I mentioned earlier in this thread took a nice leap from $96K to $150K recently. That has to be the record for any Bronze Age book!
  3. There is no prioritizing…only winning or losing
  4. Doesn't matter what advice the previous respondents have provide to you re: bidding strategies. Using strategies will help you win both pieces only if you bid the most. If you really must have both and feel that you may not have enough funds, then just keep in mind that HA offers 3 months to pay, if arrangements are made in advance. They can also provide cash advance against items you consign in upcoming auctions, and last, but certainly not least, since money is practically free these days, use a line of credit with your financial institution.
  5. Prior to this auction, I was thinking an A-level page would be worth $20K…guess I’ll have to revise upwards
  6. Was a good read, but I preferred Grell's Sable at the time, and I may be cheating a bit, but I thought Claremont/Bolton Black Dragon series was also superior to Nexus, both in art and storytelling.
  7. I think the bulk of them would have been submitted already due to previous demand and movie hype, but I can certainly see the sale of this 9.8 resulting in a lot of CPR's or just plain ol' regrade attempts.
  8. This thread has gone super-quiet over the past few weeks but now there's only a few days to go before live bidding and I'm already priced out of the comics I wanted to purchase ($96K for Marvel Spotlight #5 in 9.8 is bananas, but there's only four in this condition so if you really, really want one, you're really, really gonna have to pay up for the privilege) Looking through the current bids in the OA section, there's still numerous pieces that should triple, quadruple, and even quintuple by the time the final hammer is struck. Good luck to all!
  9. One of only four in 9.8...none higher. Compare it to GS Xmen 1 (195 in 9.8), FF 48 (39 in 9.8), ASM 129 (146 in 9.8), Hulk 180 (50 in 9.8), hulk 181 (128 in 9.8 or higher), Silver Surfer 4 (24 in 9.8), TOD 10 (48 in 9.8 or higher), etc.
  10. Well, the Marvel Spotlight 5 cgc 9.8 at HA currently is at $96K...that's gotta be some kind of record for a 9.8 Bronze Age book.
  11. Glad to see that you were able to add some more pages to your collection! I tried to put the book together many years ago, but after a few years of trying, I decided to focus on other pursuits. Good luck with the quest for more pages!
  12. HI, all; Thanks for bidding on last week's OA offerings. Several pieces sold for well under FMV so some folks picked up some very nice 1990's Marvel art pages at very affordable prices. I've got some more pages consigned to Heritage this week, with all auctions ending Monday, June 14th. Here's the list of goodies, along with direct link to the page at auction. Mark Bagley Venom #155p4 featuring Lee Price (used to be joined to the Venom symbiote) in a Prison riot. Here's the link to the page: Mark Bagley and John Dell Venom #155 Story Page 4 Original Art | Lot #13792 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com) Ron Garney Moon Knight #28p27 featuring the femme fatale known as Scarlet. The storm effects to envoke a foreboding sense of bad things to come are done especially well on this page. The image does not do it justice, and if you ever wanted an inking course by a master, well, look no further than Tom Palmer's spectacular inks here. Link: Ron Garney and Tom Palmer Marc Spector: Moon Knight #28 Story Page | Lot #13852 | Heritage Auctions (ha.com) Ron Garney Ghost Rider #40p11 half splash featuring Blade and Demogoblin (Hobgoblin gone to the dark side?).
