  1. Same for me. It really does sadden me how many stamps were cut out. Many of the books I found looking to complete my set were incomplete books.
  2. I spent years completing this collection. I didn't try that hard to be honest because the key piece was always elusive: The Marvel Value Stamp booklet itself. I have found them in the past, but those booklets were always filled or partially filled with stamps already. I wanted an unfilled one. Thanks to a recent acquisition off Heritage I obtained my booklet! I attended the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo this last weekend ( see here for the write up: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7054433#Post7054433 ) At the show I decided to see if I could complete my collection. I managed to find the final 31 books I needed so here it is, the completed Marvel value Stamp collection! My books are all complete and UNCUT, no value stamps shall be clipped and my booklet shall remain empty. It all fits nicely in a single short box. A great keepsake collectible! anyone else a member of this club? Let's see 'em.
  3. Cool drawing. I have done 2 Silver Surfer 4's as well! One is 11 "x 17", the other is 20" x 30" HUGE and looks awesome.
  4. Comic Book Girl 19 on Youtube gave this series opener a review and to me she is spot on. It really did feel like all the other CSI type shows on TV already to me. I wont go out of my way to watch episode 2.
  5. show didn't grab me to be honest. The overall feel of the show...was that I have seen this before. It felt just like everything else that is already on TV. I had high hopes, in the end I will pass.
  6. Grats. I scour Ebay for Planets all the time and did so as recently as Saturday afternoon. I didn't see a Planet Comics 14 listed. Makes me think that Ebay doesn't show me everything. Even now as I look to see the book you purchased and I look for completed auctions I can not find it. If you're searching on eBay.ca sometimes books on eBay.com do not show up. I can not find this listing on either site. The link provided works though.

  8. This is a perfect example of why it is my opinion that production defects need to be considered when grading a book. In the example above, the book can be obtained without the waviness.
  9. The number of 9.8 books I have seen with spine ticks, and other blemishes I have no idea what qualifys a book to be a 9.8 to be honest.
  10. My apologies, I thought the Pre-code horror only thread was this: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=759405#Post759405 I was making a pun on "rules" so don't take my comment too seriously. This thread really should be about pre-code horror-ish type books as all GA is pre-code and therefore any GA book could be posted here. Other places for you to post the Planet would include the Sci-Fi and Fiction House threads. Ok, just feel a little singled out considering all the rest of the stuff posted in this thread.
  11. ..... that 21 is a toughie...... and the beginning of my favorite series of the run. GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Thanks Jimbo! I am very fond of the 21 I found it had excellent color compared to the few other copies I had seen which is why I bought it.

  13. My latest precode acquisitions and I am proud to share them with you guys: and.... BAM!
  14. Nice looking 1.0 - case is too blurry - what keeps the grade down. reinforced pages ... small Color touch Brittle pages Thor is that the copy you bought in Calgary? If so I was sure it was better than 1.0 when I had it in hand.
  15. Love that Web of Mystery 26. It is a hard book to locate especially in a higher grade.
  16. Awesome copy, that's one I really want to get. +100 nice job Nik! Grats! Love that book
  17. finally located a book that has been hard ot find for me and got a decent copy
  18. It actually adds to the interest. Some people specifically collect mis-registered covers. A mis-registered double cover may be close to unique, especially in this grade. (I certainly cant think of another.) Plus this copy has beautiful colors, which all of us FH geeks highly prize. Extraordinary book! Thanks for the comments. I absolutely adore the book, and it has quickly rose to the top of my collection as one of my favorites. The colors are incredible in hand and then you open it up and see the interior cover..it is incredible.
  19. I agree, and it is on the extra cover to! I love this book.
  20. recent Fiction House acquisition: I also acquired these 2:
