  1. Currently they are not influenced by comics and the writers are told to not read the comics. I think it is a huge mistake to not go with the great stories from the comics after all that is why the Infinity saga was so successful.
  2. I started watching, got about 25 minutes in and started to get sleepy so I turned it off, but I will try again today. Still: it is concerning that it didn't entice me enough to help me stay awake ( like other movies can do )
  3. agreed, I question who the film is made for, as I don't know anyone who is interested in seeing it. Anyone in this forum want to see it?
  4. I was talking about Thor Love and Thunder being worse than Antman Quantumania. I have not watched Secret Invasion (yet) but the consensus is the tv show under delivered.
  5. #TheMarvels' "biggest difference from the other MCU movies to date is that it’s really wacky, and silly," says director Nia DaCosta! I already knew, but thank you Nia DaCosta for confirming that I don't need to see The Marvels. For comparison: I HATED Thor Love and Thunder, another movie that was "really wacky, and silly"
  6. Neither chose to do anything because they saw all the way to the end result where things were restored so they did not need to intervene?
  7. LOL I could replace him. So could you. Anyone that has read comics over the last 50 years that has an understanding of the characters of Marvel could do it far better in my opinion. What were the most successful movies they have made? Answer: the ones where the characters stayed true to the most well known versions of themselves and told great stories involving them.
  8. and I hope you never waste your time and watch it: complete she ite. It is far worse than Ant-Man 3.
  9. I enjoyed reading both Rom and Micronauts, and in both cases until about issue 25. After that both series fell off for me. I am hoping they release them as trades as generally I don't like the size of the omnibus
  10. "i suggest we all prepare our own meals, and we should only eat from cans" - Fuchs (The Thing 1982) Was the first time I saw the concept and loved the film.
  11. I agree. What they need to do is follow a planned story that involves all the different films and different characters in their own stories discovering consumed "lifeless" Planets and have all of those stories tie together to the introduction of Galactus. It should have started in Antman Quantumania, where they could have met beings in that realm that came from a world destroyed by an "entity" The Marvels could have further developed this concept easily being characters that have adventures in space/ on other planets, unfortunately we will get something totally unrelated and self containing. Thor could have introduced Beta Ray Bill like he was done in the comics where he is looking for a weapon to aid in the fight against "an entity that threatens his world", make it Galactus instead of the Demons Return Hulk to Sakarr, and have the world he falls in love with be consumed/destroyed by Galactus. Things like that
  12. I think Galactus can be done well and I have no reservations about him wearing the purple battle armor. I would go the same route they went in Alien: where you saw only glimpses of the creature. I also absolutely love the idea that different species see a different appearance of Galactus and hope they use that. Also important is how they do the voice: I want it to be something that the human ears can understand yet make it "big and booming" so that it is clearly not human. Not sure I like Antonio Bandaras in the role, but we will see. I love all of these images and pray they go this route.
  13. All these leaks of casting options and changes are just making me lose interest as it makes it appear they have no idea what they are looking for, and make the "news" available to gauge public reaction.
  14. Interesting Gal Gadot has apparently walked away from Disney Snow White projects, I have not confirmed this just saw the news on this Youtube channel
  15. I personally bag and board every comic individually. Later in life if you decide to sell your book is already good to go as it is bagged with a board. If it is only worth a dollar you can throw it into the dollar bin. If it has value congratulations it is well preserved because you bagged and boarded it.
  16. the other problem is it looks like whoever put that graphic together grabbed photos that were taken of costume fittings - front view to create their layout. The actors standing with arms hanging straight down, which isn't all that exciting. Emotionless and boring.
  17. as long as you are not using the printer's feeder to get the comic to the scanning bed....
  18. Should be tan instead of off-white or maybe slightly brittle.
  19. The Promise Collection book I own is graded accurately in my opinion (thankfully). I agree though that there were several Promise books that made me shake my head with regard to the grade.
  20. all they need to do is change the title of the film to "The New Adventures of Snow White" and then all the people triggered by the changes no longer care.
  21. they already made crappy re-imaginings with the Snow White and the Huntsman films
