  1. Hi, I have a book from 1981, a promotional booklet from Leaf and DC comics. The interior is 8 miniature comics you obtained from Candy packs. My question is if CGC would grade this? It is the size of a magazine and would fit in a magazine holder. I couldn't find any information for graded examples of this book, and I want to know if the information on the label (if they do grade this ) would indicate that the interior is complete?
  2. interesting story. One comment: further proof that Marvel has never worked to integrate the comics with TV/big screen properties. They have a character called Ms. Marvel appearing in a big screen feature later this year but in the comics she is dead. Now this Punisher thing, when he is to appear in the Daredevil TV show coming out. Makes no sense at all to me and is a huge missed opportunity. They could have end credit scenes that say : read the next issue of the comics to see what happens next!
  3. I love this signed copy of Detective 880 I have. Jock's signature in the same color as the Joker's lips looks like smeared lipstick.

  5. what book? Unless it is a very rare book my answer is to buy a book that doesn't have the glue.
  6. Love this thread. My favorite Hughes is the Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes 23. I have collected several Hughes covers but that one will be the last i sell
  7. There are lots like him. I personally do not like the practice of removing pieces of a book to get the blue label. Check out the butchery on this book by a local comic store: CGC please help to stop this practice.
  8. not all books have notes ( though it is my opinion they should )
  9. Agreed. I watched @thehumantorch crack out a CGC purple label Fantastic Four 45 at a comic show we were set up at because the potential buyer didn't want a slabbed copy. The graders notes stated “small amount of colour touch”. Once cracked we inspected it and the color touch was all over the place. The entire spine was heavily touched as were several spots in the central mass and the top and bottom edges. This is an area where CGC needs to improve the descriptions.
  10. I have seen pencilled pages, but nothing finished.
  11. I am considering making a bound edition of the Last Galactus story from the Epic Illustrated magazine. The hold up is I can't seem to locate the pages of the end of the story.
  12. I thought she was great in the last film as Croft, but the movie was average.
  13. to my knowledge the only reprint of Black Panther #1 is the "True Believers" version.
  14. I am an Indiana Jones fan, I love the first movie. I have no interest in whatever this movie is as to me it is only an Indiana Jones film by name. The trailer is a major turn off.
  15. yeah, and I did not like it especially after reading a Warlock comic written by Starlin.
  16. i didnt like Temple of Doom but enjoyed Last Crusade but the first film is the best by a longshot
  17. It isn't Indiana Jones anymore except by name. In the future hopefully they recast him to continue new adventures with the character with a capable actor, but we are most likely to get a female lead.
  18. the High Evolutionary was my least favorite part of the film. He was very over-the-top
  19. ToS 52 by far in my opinion. Brother Voodoo has a long way to go before he gets his doctorate.
