  1. Any idea why a 3rd printing TMNT 1 8.5 is at 7,977.00 on comicconnect with 3 days left? https://www.comicconnect.com/item/954751 Oh and not counting the 15% fee.
  2. Yes I would miss having one. Yours is way better than mine. No tape and the title logo is complete. Among other things. Yes that is the dilimma. The question is how low will it go. To sell or not to sell, that is the question. And yeah it does bug me. I only paid 1,500 for it raw but yeah. I suppose I should make up my mind quick. Thanks all
  3. Hey everyone, I was hoping to hear some thoughts on a move I've been thinking about for some time. I have an AF 15 .5 Blue. It looks not so good but it is complete (which many .5's are not). It's kind of like the John Merrick of AF 15's. Because of the grade it doesn't really fit with my other big early Marvel keys which are at least 3.0's. I have been thinking about selling and buying an ASM 1 (which I don't have) with the proceeds. I figure I could get an ASM 1 4.0 with the funds form the AF 15 or put out a few more bucks for a 5.0. Low grade AF 15's are, as we know, unpredictable. I've seen low grade, really bad looking raw copies go for more than many .5 cgc graded copies in the same time frame. Anyway, what do you think? Keep one of the worst looking graded examples of the King of the Silver Age or sell it and get a decent looking ASM 1? Another option I've considered was selling the AF 15 .5 and wait for an AF 15 1.5 or possibly a 1.0 to come around. Of course that would take at about 5K to 8K more to acquire. A- Keep it and be happy I have one. B- Sell it and get a comparably priced ASM 1. C- Sell it and dish out extra dough for a 1.5 or 1.0 D- Something else Thanks,
  4. Nice book. That and Black Cat Mystery 50 would look great together.
  5. Thanks for posting this. I'm going to start watching these guys. When I see those early Fox and Fiction Houses I get all tingly. All those books in that presentation are just wow. Beautys. Who did that Great Comics 3 cover, anyone know?
  6. When the rocket sold in January of this year at the time things were just going insane, so the buyers might have been thinking of making a nice profit at some point when they bought it . Now that things are settling down the owner(s) probably figures get out while the gettings good. Even though Action 1 is nearly immune to going down in value if I were the owner I'd be concerned that one of the graded copies a little less than a 6.0, like a 5.0 or 5.5 might come up and perform well under 3 million. Or one of the few higher graded copies like the 6.5's to 8.0 might come around and not get much more than 3 million. I just think 3+ million was kind of high for the rocket back in January.
  7. I know, it does seem pretty kooky. Here is why they say it received the sticker: ow/white pgs; DOUBLE COVER, 1st cover 9.8, 1 of 1 at the top!; QES Certified - Criteria met: Preferred staple placement + Flawless staple area + flawless cover edges + Color Deep Strike(Red). I have noticed a lot of the QES stickers note staple placement and color strike. I have an Iron Man 55 with almost the same notes.
  8. Hey! Oh sure the Pedigree of Denver gave it a boost. Given that Planet Comics 1 is so popular it was nice to see Hit 1 come so close in the same grade. But it is also rarer as we know. Yeah it's a great cover, one of his best. btw what does Red Bee have on his sleeves? It's like some sort of transparent material.
  9. Interesting comparison on these 2 lovely 8.5's. The Hit 1 coming so close to the Planet 1. Good for you Hit #1. And speaking of hit's the Promise Tec's 58, 62 and 76 each took a little one since their original sales. 44,400, 30k, and 10,800 respectively.
  10. This seems low to me. 1 of 2 Purple 9.6's with only 1 9.8 R on the census. Moderate resto sure but considering one of the 4 Blue 9.6's went for 3,600,000 a year ago I'd be pretty satisfied with this purchase. If my math is right the Blue 9.6 went for 68X the price of this one.
  11. I had my raw copy graded a few years back. I would trade for the right 4.0

  13. Maybe a little just like almost everything else recently. If I were an owner I wouldn't worry much about it and if I were a buyer I wouldn't get my hopes up.
  14. After looking at recent sales i would guess around 2K. I really hope more , but an 8.0 Promise just sold for only 1920,00 in May. It's the only time I found a sale for that exact book.
  15. Glad to see there was actual jail time involved for both of them.
  16. This link shows "Existence and Grades of Silver Age Key Books From the Major Pedigree Collections". https://itsalljustcomics.com/existence-and-grades-of-silver-age-key-books-from-the-major-pedigree-collections/ Only 16 pedigrees with SA keys, I thought there'd be a few more.
  17. I clicked on the link now there's a bunch of black Chevy Tahoe's parked outside my house.
  18. Hi everyone. I just snagged the Fantucchio X-Men 1 5.0. Pretty stoked right now. This link that some awesome person put together of Silver Age key pedigrees, do you think it's up to date? Comments are from 2011 but I'm pretty sure the Fantucchio pedigree wasn't graded until around 2016/17 . I know it's the GA section but this is the only Comiclink thread I know. Thanks https://itsalljustcomics.com/existence-and-grades-of-silver-age-key-books-from-the-major-pedigree-collections/ https://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FPREVIEW.ASP%3Fcode%3D2022aug%26pg%3D7%23Item_1598839&id=1598839&itemType=0
  19. Surely you're joking. I have a 9.2 GSX 1 ending tonight sandwiched 30 seconds between a 9.4 and a 9.0. I'm already on my 3rd tube.
