He knew what he was buying at the time (around 2019, I think) and thought the market was discounting it for what it was rather than asking a premium over and above. Regardless, its certainly worth quite a bit more now than what he paid back then and a private buyer would likely pay strong because of its recognized significance even though its not a 'typical' unrestored copy off the press. Its also pretty cool that the cover proof is of an October copy.

Ironic that you mention this copy as I know who owns it and he just sent me a pic...where would you value you it now in relation to the other sales tonight?

It does not - they posted on IG that the FF #1 was a new record of 150k not the 120k it hammered at.
