  1. Well, TOS #39 (grey armor) was complete last I heard (was FS on eBay a few times with a high Buy It Now but to my knowledge never sold) and I don't think those pages count as they'd likely be 100k each. The Ditko pages from #47-49 are all out there and while they sell for less than Spidey pages, they would definitely be in the 10k-20k range as well. Unfortunately for public sales, they just don't exist for A pages that I'm aware of. A lot of pages from #42 have bounced around but the really good ones haven't surfaced in years. I understand a few of the stronger pages sold between 5-10k privately, but this was probably 2-3 years ago that I heard about it.
  2. Since we're on the topic what about 2up Heck IM TOS pages? 3k-5k seems way too low for 'A' pages. I would think 10-20k as well and would consider most of the 'A' pages as those from his silver armor issues (pre #48) as those seem to never come to market (at least publicly) anymore and Heck OA in general has taken a leap since Kirby and Ditko have gotten so expensive. Heck Avengers would easily 5k-10k for 'A' pages. 3-5k would cover any early Heck Avengers pages but I've rarely seen any 'A' pages on the market for years.
  3. Well this brings up another memory from this bygone era which is that regional shows meant regional pricing. I remember the sentiment that if you were buying books in NYC you were paying NYC (ie top) prices. There were comic shops in rougher areas of Philly that priced books accordingly because their demographic wasn't going to pay full retail. You could find some pretty incredible deals in those stores. Obviously this was way before eBay, etc.
  4. Chuck, its funny but I never thought about it until now how where the publisher was likely affected how common the books were in that area. I grew up near Comico (and regretfully never visited for literally no good reason) and Primer #2 and the 3 issues of Grendel were fairly common at shows in the area and I never even considered why that was until now.
  5. Its funny to think back on how regional finding books was. I was in suburban Philly and I bought the first Albedo #2 I ever saw at a show and Im not sure I recall seeing one again for quite some time. There were a fair amount of cons in Philly back then, especially considering what a fringe hobby comic book collecting was in the mid-80s. But I always imagined NYC was the mecca where if you lived in that city, no matter what book you were looking for, you were going to find a copy without much of a struggle.
  6. It took the hobby a little while to catch on but for all of us kids who were psyched about TMNT, Usagi was the best "copy cat" anthropomorphic "ninja" to follow them so we all were instant fans who wanted Albedo #2. In fact, I'd say the older collectors who were writing these newsletters didn't really "get it" right away and so their attention was on Albedo #0 and #1 due to rarity, which was therefore more expensive, but again made no sense to us because no one cared about the animals in those books! If you looked at a CVM or CBG six months later, Usagi's appeal was much more apparent.
  7. Blasphemy! Yes, as crazy as the market was at the time, the early prints of #0 primarily and #1 secondarily were "hot" but #2 was always desirable as well and just as hard to find. #3 was where the issues became much more common. But Usagi was an instant hit and that led to Critters #1 and his own series. I remember finding a #2 and being far more excited than seeing an early print of #0.
  8. Just have to reiterate congratulations. I would say a Peanuts Sunday like this has always been on my bucket list but not a top priority. This is probably my favorite Sunday I've ever seen for sale for a lot of personal reasons. You're lucky to have this!
  9. Minor add that pages with the hero and a main villian command a premium and it they are battling, they command a premium above that. I think the higher value pages could certainly be parsed out where a Ditko ASM page with Spidey on the page is >100 but if a villian is on it with Spidey its >125 and if they are battling its >150.
  10. Kudos to you for finding it at a small auction house but with the vig and tax it doesnt seem like it was a “deal” per se but what do think it mightve hammered at in Heritage? You certainly had less competition where you found it especially given that its such a stellar example with a great provenance/history.
  11. Wonderful piece! Very well bought...
  12. A clean, well-presenting #33 CGC 1.8 sold for Make An Offer on HA for 36k in October. Its in GPA.
  13. Again this is all speculation but Ahsoka said she wouldn't train Grogu and then Mando puts him on the hilltop where he uses his Jedi powers to reach out to another Jedi - who? Ezra? Well isn't Ezra dead? No idea, it was never confirmed, but what a great way to introduce him... Or Ahsoka changes her mind and comes back to save Grogu leading into her series...and Ezra maybe gets introduced then...
  14. So thats the big 'what if' - is that the final scene in the finale?
  15. there's some spec that maybe Ezra is the Jedi that will heed the call from Baby Yoda - ?
  16. I just want to say kudos to blue808 who has been on the boards for a long time and honored the Thor #2 sale (not to me). I think, especially in this day and age, that being honorable is something to be celebrated. He didn't balk or comment about it, he just proceeded with his thread as normal. Yeah sure, maybe its a $400-$500 book now, but he recognized that his reputation and the hassle certainly wasn't worth the difference.
  17. What do you all think of Kanan #6? That book seems like a true sleeper that could blow up soon...
  18. There's a lot of discussion on Facebook that the same "buyer" is shilling all of those Previews and that perhaps another buyer believed the hype and actually bought one of them but its more likely that they're all shilled/fake sales. Who knows if its true and fiction could become reality regardless.
