  1. So 101 through 240 are basically a wasteland in terms of issues of note, aside from a few red sonja appearances (ok, everything from 59-99 is pretty dubious too, but I am hoping Belit winds up being good on screen and folks may get interested in her so maybe her cover appearances will matter, but she is in every issue until she is dead), although good reading regardless (I will be honest, i have not read most of them, I feel like the art dropped off a bit and I liked the stuff from 100 and before? I was going through my 2 longies of conan and family books to see what might get relevant in the coming months, obviously the BWS stuff, adams, early buscema, 1st belit, red sonja appearances. 1st zula is not doing anything on ebay right now, I don't know if they plan on using him. So in terms of Conan Gal Pals during the original marvel runs, Belit is primarily in the comics, Valeria is in the magazines (other than maybe a cameo flashback), Red Sonja is in both, has lots of her own comics, periodically possesses Mary Jane Watson and hangs out with spiderman (or is Red Sonja supposed to be a prior life on MJ... I need to read the comics now), and maybe gets visited on a mystical journey by Dr. Strange? I guess it is moot because Marvel does not own Red Sonja...for now. On an unrelated note, why on earth would a seller list 3 9.8 copies of the same low demand conan comic for auction at about the same time? It's like they were trying to sell it for as little as possible. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Conan-The-Barbarian-99-CGC-9-8-016/254816830025?hash=item3b54444249:g:N-AAAOSwvk1f3mmS https://www.ebay.com/itm/Conan-The-Barbarian-99-CGC-9-8-020/254815541743?hash=item3b543099ef:g:QtEAAOSwwlNf3mlR https://www.ebay.com/itm/Conan-The-Barbarian-99-CGC-9-8-005/254815541746?hash=item3b543099f2:g:nigAAOSwNmVf3mkn and then he listed another one a week later... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Conan-The-Barbarian-98-CGC-9-8/224305909929?hash=item3439ac90a9:g:n7EAAOSweuFf9MBx
  2. i do it one at a time at specific prices. i don't know how to do 10% off to everyone who is watching.
  3. Ok, I have owned it for years, just realized what it was while rummaging through some 3 for $2 and dollar box purchases that looked to be circa 2013 or so. Doesn't show up for sale much, but when it does, is around $150
  4. OK, there is a nearly indestructable super powered dude living in upper manhattan who is ALL OVER the local news and a group of immortal warriors running around with secret armies (I understand the media not knowing about them, but SHIELD didn't?), a billionairre pretty boy martial arts master who can knock down a building with his fist (not to mention the super powered lady in downtown manhattan ... we can accept DD being ignored) .. not to mention telepaths like jessica's season 3 boyfriend (ok, he's under the radaar too) .. and none of them are mentioned in any of the MCU movies as far as I know (I don't know if they are ever mentioned in SHIELD .. again, don't spoil it for me, I'm working my way through the episodes...).. so it seems possible that some version of the x-men and mutants could be under the radar (remember, the x-men movies have so many timelines and such and so many telepaths who could erase collective memories) and simply not being discussed at the avengers level (not to mention all the powered individuals in the SHIELD show who weren't called upon to battle Thanos...) .. yes, it doesn't make sense that mere mortals like Hawkeye and Black Widow and others who rely just on tech (Falcon, Ant Man, etc.) are called upon, but frigging Luke Cage, who in the comics can last a minute or two with the Hulk, never gets a phone call??? [As you can see I have a slight obsession with the interconnectivity of all of these different media properties...and i miss the netflix shows)
  5. These characters were created and published 35 years ago and show up regularly. I think DC may have missed the chance to bring their claim. Laches. Arcanna won't wear fishnets on the show. She'll be a witch from another dimension.
  6. It sure seems 232 is a more relevant book, but much more common in high grade, and if you're going for great cover, why not have joker in it (251)?
  7. I watched some of the first season, dropped out, but am now watching it when i can.
  8. I think the giant headed modok is being saved for the cartoon where there can be some comic relief Wanda/Pietro were in Hydra's base being experimented on (or observed) in the movies, they were referenced in Agents of Shield (though unclear if hydra thought they were Inhumans or something else), I think they're not going to try and split hairs between Hydra and AIM (unless they did that in SHIELD? I am only in the middle of the third season.)
  9. I don't seem to have the option on some books and it has been a long time since the last offer. my guess is they are watching it because they own the same thing and want to see if/when it sells and for how much. Anyway, I think it is a useful feature. I think some people are afraid of making an offer and this shows that I am fine with negotiation. Basically I give more free stuff to people who pay full price or make offers that are closer to ask, but I don't want to actually say that in my auction.
  10. you MUST add signature delivery. I don't think you get seller protection over a certain $ amount if you don't. I sold a $750 item, it took forever to get there (media mail -- it was a big lot of comics), the buyer complained, it got delivered past the deadline, there was delivery confirmation, and ebay/paypal STILL refunded him the $750.
  11. congrats. that is insane. you can buy something pretty sweet for $2K that is not this. I hope you get paid.
  12. For a show half the folks seem to hate, the rest of us are doing a whole lot of talking about it. I do think it is interesting if they're bringing in Squadrom Supreme as that is pretty obscure stuff. But so are the Eternals and so were Guardians of the Galaxy. And Shang Chi. And Ant Man. Blade was an obscure character and he spawned 3 movies and a crappy TV show, so you never know.
  13. I don't know if he is supposed to be so evil per se, more like pursuit of science has messed up his moral compass. And once in Wanda's world maybe he doesn't really have the ability to control himself/be himself. These powerful types are being forced into sitcom roles. I do find the Harkness connection interesting in that she is closely tied to Wanda in the comics and Franklin Richards, the two marvel mutants who can basically create their own alternate realities.
  14. Yes, as anticipated, I have 3 copies of Defenders 111, zero copies of 112. Looked them up on Mile High, apparently Mile High has not jacked up the price of 112. It is a mere $70 in NM I think. 111 is $69. Apparently, all of these books I thought were 50 cent box books in the Defenders run at $50-70+ at mile high. I know they of 50% off codewords, but still
  15. A raw sold for $232!: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Weird-Mystery-Tales-21-Gorgeous-High-Grade-book-DC-1975-Bernie-Wrightson-Cover-/333773501025?hash=item4db6737261%3Ag%3AIrQAAOSw3L9fnn1D&nma=true&si=BZbpsjZvXBDBh7scMVfgI%2BAabNw%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 But a pretty nice looking copy sold for $7.99 (not a 9.0 though)
  16. OK, so maybe the one that says "reprint" came in the 3 for 99 cent bags and the one that does not was sold at newsstands/shops? I assumed it was a reprint, but just wondered if it was less common than the one that says "reprint"
  17. Sorry, not #1, #2... is this a reprint and what is the difference between it and the ones that say "reprint" on the cover? was this some sort of thing that came in a pack?
  18. 319 was worth something way back when. It occasionally gets a few bucks now, seemingly randomly.. only comix4less could get $16.50 on a book that usually sells for $3-$5: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Daredevil-319-First-Print-Fall-From-Grace-Prologue-NM-Cond/143920849814?hash=item218259e396:g:tuEAAOSwnZxgBIly
  19. Not that much with a 400,000 copy print run or whatever the heck 323 had ... it was part 4 of a story arc that was incredibly hot at the time,,,some people missed the boat on part 1, but by part 4 shops had loaded up bigly. heck, new avengers 35 is usually under $5.
  20. Fan theories say Herb is the High Evolutionary... who is Herbert Wyndham in the comics Now this one on Dottie is interesting, many thought Clea because she looks like her and we are wondering how Wandavision will hook up with Dr. strange: https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/wandavision-spoilers-dottie-theory-arcanna-squadron-supreme/ I am not familiar with the character, but she is Arcanna Jones (Earth 717s version of Zatanna) ... Dottie Jones in the comics .. her husband is Phil Jones in the comics and show, she looks like her, she is from another universe ... which would possibly infer that wanda has created some sort of cross-over porta straddling the multiverse Also, Dottie keeps on saying "for the children"... in the comics all 4 of Arcanna's children are killed Her first appearance is already hitting $50+ raw..... it was $2 a week ago I have a box of worthless Defenders comics. You know I don't have that issue, I will have 3 copies of each of the books around it though.
  21. I sold my VG/Finesh copy the moment it got hot a few years ago. I can't remember, somewhere in the $75-100 range, which is not bad at all compared to so many other books I sold a bit too early on. It was no $7.99 NYX 3 sale or $7 (or maybe $13, I forget) for TOS 57 or $10 for Ultimate Fallout 4.
  22. 227 is not "challenging" 181 at all. It is super expensive because there are 9 in the census and has an iconic cool cover. If there were 126 in the census like 181, it would be a small fraction. The proof is a cgc 8.0 181 goes for $4500-5000 whereas an 8.0 227 does not crack $900. indeed, for $900 you could have gotten a SS Adam 8.0 last week. so you get a freak outlier sale on a 9.8 that rarely comes up. probably some tech guy with too much money from some stock valuation. I am curious, what does batman 226 cgc 9.8 go for? even fewer in census, but a ho hum Adams cover.
  23. I have had a few books sell for full ask while I was bouncing offers and counter offers with people. Of course, the market is super hot when I don't have time for listing due to work and family issues
