  1. Bursting means something else. It doesn't mean something didn't meet a recent all time high. This is the problem with this market, people assume a high will be matched or met by another high. And anyway, All the wolverine folks are putting their money into MCP 1 and 72.
  2. When we were flying more the fees on my wife's amex black were easily paid for via the perks she got on delta
  3. Please be quiet. I have a lot of comics in need to sell.
  4. No. Taxes are on your profit. So, yes, maybe 28% on everything net of fees if you fished your $1000 book out of the 65 cent box (like my NYX 3 and LOS 23 variant). Although Shadroch would be able to come up with $788 worth of legit other deductions, so you'd only be paying taxes on about $60.
  5. 79 is selling for what 72 sold for a few weeks ago, it is one of those books in the run that sells, but 73 - 78 and 80+ are much more hit or miss. i am tempted to sell some sets as they are now doing better enough than 72 + 79 sell solo to justify it. i don't want to sell all my 72 and 79s and be stuck with the rest, although they all have pretty sweet covers and their own potentia to pop
  6. not of those, i need to check i guess, but those I bought all from the same guy, so i doubt it.
  7. Unfortunately, when it comes to MCP, it seems maybe 5 or so issues of the whole run regularly sell for more than $5-7 each, and those are considered "dollar books" here. I put regularly in bold because I see sales of the other Weapon X issues that make no sense ... one copy selling for $20-30+ right next to a $3 sale in the same condition. Makes me go hmmmm Not just the occasional Divad sale. It does seem a bunch of people are listing the other BWS at sky high prices and hoping, while they're still selling elsewhere for $10 and less.
  8. My copies of #2 are definitely 9.8s (says every seller on facebook...)
  9. yeah, i contemplated getting my membership and putting together a chunky submission, but would up working until 5:30 a.m; four days in a row on my real job and had meetings all day, so that didn't happen. oh well.
  10. St the time I could have flipped them on ebay for $6-9,each or so, I thought they needed more aging
  11. whenever I went to NYCC last (4 years ago?) I got about 10 from a dollar box guy who I think sold me a packed shortbox for $100 or something, so less than $1. i could not believe they were still there on the last day of a 4 day show. shows how dead the book was.
  12. Sold my MCP 72 last night. yay! I have 2 handy, but I am almost sure I have 5-8 more somewhere mixed up in my "misc marvel" boxes before I decided MCP should get its own box. If only the Kieth issues would pick up. I could retire.
  13. Ahhh, a sell box I put together 5 years ago and was too lazy to sell any of it. Yay!
  14. I don't want to think about the mistakes anymore. Too many regrets. Depressing.
  15. is it difficult or has nobody bothered? i know, it is black and 33 years old, so probably hard, but not logically any harder than #1
  16. It is typically a sub $10 book raw (and probably $3 last December or whenever the current round of slab candidates were sent in), not exactly a book the screams "slab me"
  17. it is interesting, the owl was like a 4th rate kingpin, but a few years before kingpin. maybe kingpin was a 1st rate owl? didn't they do some lame version of the owl in Defenders?
  18. hmm 365 was maybe a $15 book a few weeks ago, now a ton sold for $25-30. interesting.
  19. how many of those ever got slabbed? was there a real reason to before a week ago? this was a $5-$10 book in january.
  20. It just so happens my local supermarket had a tremendous sale on TP in February and I loaded up big time. We still had plenty in October.
