  1. I used to very OCD when I was younger when it came to my CD's/records and the like. They were categorized by genre of music (i.e. rock, jazz, blues, etc); then alphabetized by artist, then by release date. I'm trying to combat those tendencies now with my comics.
  2. Just a question that I'm looking for opinions on. When categorizing you collections, what takes importance on muti-category books? For example; I collect Adam Hughes books but also Wonder Woman books. Do I put his WW's in the Wondy area or with the Hughes books? It's easy if I have one of his Tomb Raiders since I don't collect those, but what do people do when you have one copy that can fit in more than one category?
  3. Picked up 2 late Silver Age keys. Love the cover SP 79. It's simple but stands out at the same time.
  4. 2 good solid lower to mid-range semi-keys. Love Deadman and have always liked the cover to Showcase 79.
  5. How's LWW on FCBD? Not sure if I want to hit one or Kowabunga in Oconomowoc. Though Kowabunga is having their Grand Re-Opening Sale so I might hit that up to get some of the other deals they'll be offering.
  6. Love Timm's work so I went with Mad Love, but yes, both are excellent.
  7. Yes, the song was called "Ballard of the Greenbacks" because if I tried to sing for something I'd be tossed out within a few seconds.
  8. It looks like it's from tape but not a restoration type tape.
  9. Thinking it’s a good 5/5.5. Thoughts? Anyway got it for a song so I’m happy no matter what.
  10. It's really up to you and what you plan to do with it. Myself, I have plenty of Keys that are lower grade and I'm fine with it because I don't intend to part with them. To me they're more valuable to me as memories and the chase. But, if your intention in the long run is to sell it and use it towards a house I'd save up for a higher grade.
  11. 2 of my personal grails this week. The Hulk 180 looks decent and is complete. The KS is rough but I like some low grades every now and then.
  12. Got some big books off my want list and some nice goodies.
  13. Saw this on the bay and it's one of my favorite McFarlane covers but the sig looks wrong. What do you guys think?
  14. Figure this would be a good place for a quick question. What would be the better long term investment (wouldn't sell either but don't want to lose money either). Picking up one of the following and the question of a bubble burst just gave me pause. Books would be 1) NM 98 in about a 7/8 or a IH 180 in about a 3/4. Which has the better long term holding ability? I'm not going to be able to pick up a IH 181 anytime soon but figure a 180 is the next best thing and the NM 98 is still going strong right now.
  15. Picked this up today. Really happy as I love WWII covers. Especially one of Uncle Same kicking Hitler dupa around.
  16. Their books from Sven Kirsten on Tiki are fantastic. There are 4 Volumes right now and each is just amazing. So many wonder pic of old Tiki culture. Can't get enough of that stuff.

  19. Thanks; wasn't sure with the small <1/8" on the cover.
  20. Just seeing what everyone thinks. I'm thinking about a 4.5 or so.
  21. Seriously envious of those who have an Ollie's nearby. There are tons of books I'd like a crack at. The closest one to us here in WI is in Michigan, not an easy feat in the middle of February. Especially with a 7" snow storm on the way. Stupid winter.
  22. It's a rough copy but it's a personal grail and was able to grab it at a good price.
