Book is somehow still in one piece with no tape, no missing pages.
I’m unfamiliar with grading the real low grade books so I appeal to you guys.

That gives me an idea. This comic was probably a result of multiple printing and binding errors. It’s actually really valuable!

All kidding aside side I got it in a package deal so I consider it as about $1 invested. It makes a good reader and doesn’t stink at all so in the end I own 1st app Juggernaut ??

The newer newsstand marvel books sometimes have the wrong title in the upc box. I wonder if the code would scan for the incorrect title in that instance.
For instance, my Morbius #1 newsstand from 2013 has “Spider-Man Limited” in the upc box. Would it scan as a Spider-Man book?

I enjoy chasing the Marvel Legends reprints that came with the action figures (or any comic that came inserted in the packaging). They can also be tough in grade too.

You're on a collecting forum and baffled that anal-retentive collectors will pay a premium for the rarer version of something despite the difference being extremely minute?
Take a week and go hunting for near mint copies of newsstand editions from 2013 Marvel series. Report back with your results.
Also inquiring with a seller about a product they are selling regarding a difference that they haven't explicitly mentioned in the listing is a good way to get them to research why you are asking about such a thing which inevitably leads to them finding out the variant they have is worth more than the traditional version.
It is the seller's responsibility to include pictures on their listing that do not mislead the buyer. If you want to use the same photo for a product when you have more than 1 in stock that is fine, but only if your stock is entirely the same. Newsstand and direct versions are not the same, it doesn't matter if CGC makes that distinction or not.

Sigh, why didn't I read that post before?
Then I could have stopped myself from buying all this firewood

    - and

Luckily I got the Ka-Zar mags too  - maybe they're still worth something

To top off my misguidedress I even bought some Conan art

I also just bought some old prints
Maybe it's just me, but I've read tons of comics and, by Mitra, none were better than the good ol' Conan books and mags
I'll probably use it all for my Viking funeral

    I feel nothing.
he can set whatever price he wants, if people still line up for it, more power to him. I would charge for my sig if I could too.

I’m a huge newsstand junky myself, mostly out of nostalgia.
My main focus for the last 1-2 years has been late Marvel newsstand books, 2011-13. In my experience I will see some pop up on eBay at a 1:50 news/direct ratio and others at a 1:100 or less. I don’t think the distribution was consistent.
For instance, a hot seller, new avengers 8 9 10, 1st Black Order/1st Thane; I’ve watched hundreds if not a thousand of these roll through eBay and seen newsstands of:
    3 #8’s (none better than 9.2)
    4 #9’s, (at least 2 at 9.4)
    0 #10’s
None of these had newsstand specified in title or description. A few were VG/F at best.
im still looking for a New Avengers (2013) #10 newsstand...

It's 1965, maybe 1966 and my Mom takes me shoe shopping. There is some sort of promotion going on and I get to choose a free brand new comic book. As most of the comics I've see are well used and often coverless, this is a big deal. While I doubt it was my first comic, it's the one I remember getting new.
There are a couple to choose from, mostly Archies and the like. I pick one that features Jughead but he is somehow a superhero. I start to read the comic in the car but I'd recently gotten car sick so reading was out. We drive some 15 miles to my cousins house and I bring in the comic, possibly my proudest possession. I  go in and leave it on a table. When we are ready to leave, it's nowhere to be found. A quick search and it doesn't turn up. My Aunt says she will find it and return it. She never does. A few months later, as we are walking in to their house, my Dad pulls me aside and tells me not to ask about it, so I don't.
I was in that house hundreds of times over the years, and always remembered my lost comic. I've thumbed thru dozens of Archie superhero books but never recognized any of the stories.
My Uncle died a few years ago, and my Aunt lived full time on Marco Island but never gave up the house in Flushing. She died last year.
Evidently, my cousins kids were going through the basement and found a paper bag with my name on it,and a note saying keep for Billy.
My cousin called my Sister and got my number. She couldn't believe I remembered it and was so happy I wanted it back. She is going to get it to my Sister this week
