  1. I've been trying to think of possible candidates to add to the list. Does anyone know what any of these might change hands for, if they ever do? Howard Chaykin Star Wars Gene Colan 60s Avengers Robert Crumb - Comic Art Tracker has various panel pages that sold for six figures on Heritage Alan Davis Captain Britain (stories written by Alan Moore) Alan Davis DR and Quinch (stories written by Alan Moore) Michael Golden Micronauts Marc Hempel Sandman Gil Kane Hulk in Tales to Astonish Gil Kane Cap in Tales of Suspense Gil Kane Daredevil Jack Kirby Sgt. Fury David Mazzucchelli Batman Year One Mike McMahon Judge Dredd Todd McFarlane Batman Year Two in Detective Comics Frank Miller Elektra Lives Again Spain Rodriguez Trashman etc John Romita sr Daredevil John Romita Sr 50s Cap John Romita Sr 70s Cap Marie Severin 2up Hulk in Tales to Astonish Gilbert Shelton Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers etc Jim Starlin MOKF Jim Steranko Cap S Clay Wilson Checkererd Demon etc - Comic Art Tracker has various panel gages that sold for between 8k and 52k on Heritage
  2. GCD says "Giordano inks confirmed in Giordano Changing Comics, One Day At A Time." Adams inked the cover to #45, the interiors of which were inked by the Crusty Bunkers..
  3. Starlin worked on for the 2009 series of Strange Adventures. Flicking through some pages online, I think #2-7 include Star Thief images. The backup story in #1 is titled A Minor Incident, which I think was also the name of the story Alan Weiss drew for the unpublished Warlock #16, which finally appeared in Mavel Masterworks: Warlock #2. According to GCD, another Star Thief appeared in Defenders #150 by Peter B Gillis, and the original fought Rocket Raccoon in Annihilators #4, cover dated August 2011.
  4. The Star Thief story was in Warlock #13-14. Starlin's later work on Darklon the Mystic for Warren tied in to that story, and I've not read it, but I think Starlin's Strange Adventures for DC was said to have alluded to the Star Thief.
  5. GCD credits that cover to Gil Kane and Spoon Giordano.
  6. Re Don Heck X-Men in the $5-10k tier, is it known which of his issues were 2up? According to the old thread, the last 2up issues of Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four were cover dated October 1967, and I think the first X-Men issue Heck pencilled dates from the month after that. Also, might Werner Roth 2up X-Men be a candidate for adding to the list? According to Comic Art Tracker, Heritage sold four panel pages in the $5-10k bracket between 2014 and 2017.
  7. Isn't the Above $60k tier implicitly $60-80k, as the next tier is Above $80k?
  8. Heck Avengers/TOS is currently on your list in the bottom tier.
  9. Iron Man's armour switched from grey to gold in TOS #40. Ditko pencilled #47-49 - would they go for a premium?
  10. I think Colan's only post-TOS Iron Man work was in Iron Man and Sub-Mariner #1 and Iron Man #1. Would they get a boost from being first issues?
  11. I think it's by JJ Birch (aka Joe Brozowski) and Michael Bair, from the 1989 Catwoman miniseries.
  12. In the $10-20k tier, is Byrne's first Avengers run intended to include his brief fill-in stint in #164-166, his regular run in #181-191 or both?
  13. Sorry, I meant Avengers #8, the one with Kang (which was reprinted in Avengers #5 in the UK). Stone only inked the cover of Sgt. Fury #13 - Ayers inked the interior pages.
  14. Other Kirby/Ayers Silver Age collaborations featuring Cap included Avengers #5, Sgt. Fury #13 and Tales of Suspense #69 and 83.
  15. They wouldn't need to sell for a mid teens number to belong in the $10-20k tier. We just need to establish whether on average they go for above 10k.
  16. Joe Staton said he ghosted some stuff for Kane, including on ASM #150. GCD credits the interior layouts to Staton. Maybe he helped out with the cover too.
  17. The cover is by Jerry Bingham. Thibert's interior artwork is nothing special - it;s some of his earliest work and is inked or finished by Pablo Marcos.
  18. Should Kirby's entry in the $10-20k tier specify 70s Marvel work, as his 70s DC work is in the tier below that?
  19. I think Garry Leach and Alan Davis's Miracleman might be more accuratley describrd under the origunal name as Marvelman. If Leach is 20-30k and Davis is 5-10k, what do pages pencilled by Davis and inked by Leach from Warrior #6 & 7 go for?
