  1. Already at $179 with some strong bidding! Looks like Charlie is on track to have a GPA high sale. Nice!
  2. Right back at you Nick! I'm glad that it went to such an appreciative home! I have now started my savings for the next 9.8 copy that I can find. Thanks for the fastest 2 week payment plan ever recorded! -William
  3. I was considering starting to put a little stash of money away for whenever another 9.8 comes up for sale. Maybe I should list my 9.6 #1 and see how much more money it would bring then his.
  4. If I ever see any, I'll let you know ASAP as I cover LCS's the Northeast Thanks Jerel! I really appreciate it. It would be a lot easier for me to find it if I knew if it had an issue # or not. I see back issues of CSN for sale on some websites but they just go by the number and don't usually have any extra info...
  5. This was always my favorite thread but it's gotten REALLY entertaining these pass few days!! On an actual Crow note, I asked about this in an old wtb thread, but does anyone own one of these? Or even seen one before? It's from a Comic Show News 1989/90 winter preview. I know most CSN's have issue #'s but I don't know if this did or not. Any more info would be appreciated... (thumbs u
  6. My max bid of $44 and a copy of "Baby Geniuses 2" on vhs was already outbid...
  7. I've sent 3 messages over the past 2 weeks, and I still haven't heard a peep... I feel so special and wanted.
  8. I'm sure Mr. O'Barr is rubbing his hands together in excitement already. James has been talking about this for 10 years now so I hope it actually happens! Those 2 pre-orders might just be the deciding factor! I kid... I hope he does some sort of limited special edition too. Maybe something like Kirkman does with his hardcovers (sign and # 150 or 300 copies).
  9. Written out that sounds WAY cheesier then it did in my head. It's still true though!
  10. If anyone has that firepower right now, it is William since he has all the books (and then some), and at least one set in 9.6 or better condition. A Crow 1 CGC 9.8 Qualified is only 108 points more than a Crow 1 CGC 9.6 Universal, so not the massive point difference we all would expect. But give Chris another year and I bet he will uncover all the other books in 9.8 condition. I am starting to think the others don't exist. Yeah Chris, I often feel the same way. #'s 1-3 have proven to be tough if not seemingly impossible. I do think that Nick is right and that there are a few more out there. Just the fact that two #1's in 9.8 have been added to the census this past year gives me hope that a few others may surface over the next couple years. I've been buying sets of this series for the past 17 years so I can wait a few more if that's what it takes. Jerel, no worries about me bumping your ex out of the top spot any time soon. It's never been about being the best or registry points for me (not that I'm knocking the registry in anyway). I don't know if I will ever list my set and if I do it will be when I have "finished" it. One thing that I do know: I am thankful that over the years I've found so many great people who love these 4 (or 7) comics as much as I do!!
  11. Haha Nick. I sent him a similar one (not quite as blunt ) and still no response. They are really sticking to their guns with the whole "playing hard to get" routine. Maybe we need to send Jerel and Boba Fett after them.
  12. A happy belated birthday to you my friend . Thanks Jerel! (thumbs u Not much new going on over here on the comic front. Still into The Crow comics (obviously) and other 80's/early 90's copper age goodness... As far as personally, I got engaged a month or two back so that is exciting (though I am already tired of the planning process and ready for it to just be official ). Good to see you on the boards! I still owe you a 1000 thanks for finding that #4!! How is everything on your end?
  13. Me too. Hey Jerel! Welcome to the boards finally! -William
  14. Haha. Maybe I should. I'm getting pretty ancient now... No, like other's said, the book wasn't up (it was removed after it was listed last week) and the seller hasn't had the courtesy to reply to a single email from multiple potential buyers. I'm still hoping that they come through with at least a "sorry about the delay and the mistake in the first auction...it has been corrected and relisted". Just to know that they acknowledge their blatant lack of communication would be a start. Does anyone get the feeling that this is a consignment deal and that the seller only has the descriptions from the scans? Other then their comics being CGC graded, the listings don't show any knowledge of comics. Though it is hard to figure out who you are dealing with when they ignore you...
  15. I have a feeling $X,XXX puts me way out of the running for this. Doesn't really matter because I don't think this seller is getting my money. If that's the case then if it is ever relisted I may actually have a chance of getting my dream book! But then the question of 'is this seller trustworthy and considerate enough to deserve bidding' comes up. If it wasn't this book I would surely stay away... But I've been looking for this book in 9.8 for years so I'm hoping things get cleared up... William Well as your birthday present I will not bid on it if it does come up. I already have a 9.8, I was hoping for a blue to go with my O'barr signed green label, but you have given me another reason to pass on it. Then we can both have one. Wow Chris! That's really thoughtful of you!! That is completely up and beyond unnecessary and by far the best birthday gift I've received! Has anyone heard back from tundraantiques yet? Their great feedback and their lack of communication just aren't adding up...

  17. I have a feeling $X,XXX puts me way out of the running for this.
  18. the last complete run i saw went for around $550-600. so i'd guesstimate anywhere between $550-700. if you do break it up and sell it, i'm interested in buying the following issues (19, 7, 8, 15-18, 21, & 22) depending on price. Thanks for your help! If I do decide to break it up you all will be the first to know! William
  19. Hey everyone. I asked in another thread but I figure this is probably the best place to ask... Does anyone know what complete WD runs are going for on Ebay? I haven't seen any completed sales over the past few weeks so I don't really know what's a fair price. I have doubles of 1-5 so I'm thinking of keeping those and selling the rest off and just getting the trades as they come out. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks, William
  20. Shoot Nick, I wish I would have known! I bid you way up. I won the other 3. I really want to trust the seller, but I have a bad feeling that there is going to be problems once the issues arrive (though I'm keeping my fingers crossed). I kept asking the seller if they were positive that there was no wear to the corners or anywhere else and no spine stress at all, and they insisted that there was none, that they were perfect! So if they aren't at least 9,4/9.6 candidates I'm going to have to have a talk with them and paypal... Hopefully not though! Best of luck on yours too!
  21. As soon as there is a 9.8 on the census, and then that 9.8 comes home and meets the rest of her family, I will happily pass along my 9.6! Until then...
  22. Yeah, I still have the highest graded non SS copies of each issue except #1 and CP 15. I really appreciate the interest Chris, but if there is such a thing as comics in my collection that I would never sell, it's these. I have comics that are worth more, but there are none that I have (and continue to) put more time and love into. It's actually somewhat pathetic for such a small run of comics... Thank you though! Another #4 9.8 should pop up for sale eventually! Regards, William
