  1. Anybody else having problems with items selling with a BIN but staying active in your Selling tab? Edit: just noticed these are "Good 'til Canceled" listings. Those should still work normally when sold.

This has happened to me three times now. Is there a setting I need to change? If I don't keep up on things, I could inadvertently "sell" the same item twice, and the poor second customer will think they've been scammed when I have to refund/cancel.

Congratulations on your CGC Registry award!  I’ll say it again, your set is beyond amazing!!!  I’m also glad to see the Star Wars Action Figure Comic Variants get that kind of recognition.  I’m mostly a bronze collector but my SW Action Variant set is my favorite!!!

Thanks for the kind words. I was more than surprised. I found out from another boardie because I had gone all weekend without logging on after they had announced the awards.

I'm so very lucky to have made so many connections here on the boards, both other collectors and facilitators. Without their help, building that set would've been a Herculean task.

How do we feel about our Ray Park books today?? Do we sell them?

Man, what a mess! I'll be glad if/when it blows over, no pun intended.  I think he's ruined his shot at a live action Maul series on Disney+.

Conventions are his bread and butter though. I don't see him giving those up. I don't think he needs Lucasfilm's permission.

Bet we don't see double bookings of Park and Logan at future conventions though.

So I finally own a copy of Silver Surfer #4.

I am thinking of having it cracked open to press and clean it and reslab it at CGC.

    I checked, there is a 200-300$ difference between a 8.0 and 8.5.

Is it true that CGC used to grade their books more tight or is that a rumour ?

If you have done this before, please share your experience/result on this thread.

    Thanks !

Ps. Sorry. I don't have better pics yet so I have no idea if the book was pressed/cleaned but probably not with an old slab.

I love this book so much. I have the statue of it. I would love to get a beauty like the one you picked up to display with it.

I unintentionally lied in my last post where I said my first submission had returned, because I had a bunch of books in that submission. I submitted the Amazing Spider-Man 300 I got back in that post as Economy and I had a bunch of other books I submitted as Modern.

I just got the notice the moderns are on the way back. I bought all of these off the rack at my LCS at the time.

Batman: The Killing Joke (never read) - 9.8 white

Batman: The Killing Joke - 9.4 white (scratch on back cover)

    Incredible Hulk 340 - 9.2 white

    Wolverine 1 11/88 - 9.6 white

    Uncanny X-Men 266 (Gambit 1st appearance) - 9.8 white

Yes, I bought two copies of the Killing Joke and only one of Amazing Spider-Man 300, oh well.

I'd be more than happy with this submission.

Thanks so much guys! She's very excited about her project.  She actually is, and has been an exceptional seamstress and teaches at a local sewing school. When the pandemic started she began making masks for healthcare workers and now has pivoted this into a side job.  Personally, I'm very impressed with what she's doing with the wire with the masks....introducing wire to keep them firm on your face as well as figured out how to introduce filters into some of them. So she has three different types pick from aside from the different styles. I can hear that kid upstairs sometimes till 1 in the morning sewing away!

I'm excited to receive mine for sure. I went with the option for the filter and the wire on both of mine. If you're going to do it, do it right. Thanks for the link, and be proud of your daughter's initiative, creativity and talent.
