  1. I am noticing a price increase for BATMAN #139. Now we all know DETECTIVE 359 is 1st appearance of the modern BATGIRL but is Bats 139 flying under the radar. Which would you shoot for in high grade?
  2. If they are reprints, do they have any value?
  3. If anyone can tell me if these books are real or reprints I would appreciate it.
  4. Might I suggest GOLD DIGGER #1. A series still going strong today and every issue done by one creator:FRED PERRY! Currently there are almost 250 issues to date.
  5. I say THOR 337! Great cover and I will lay even money Beta appears in the next THOR movie. Maybe even in Infinity War! Still affordable. I am buying all the high grade raw copies I can get.
  6. I thought so. Oh, well. At least it was free. I always thought they looked different though and had a card stock cover.
  7. I am under no illusions that I found something cool but I am flustered by this comic. Over the weekend I helped a friend's grandmother clear out her garage and found this comic wedged between a huge stack of magazines from the 1940s -1970s. I asked her about it and she said it belonged to her late husband. She knew i collected comics and let me have it in return for helping her clean out her garage. Now I am familiar with TREASURY reprints and the scam of trimming them so at first I thought this was the case. But then I wondered why her husband would have a trimmed Treasury comic? Also the feel of the book did not feel right for a modern comic (I could be wrong of course). So I am asking the experts what they think this is? A trimmed TREASURY edition or something else. Any info would help. Thanks.
  8. well, let's see. i think MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #32- 1st Spiderwoman. RAGMAN #1 AMAZING SPIDERMAN #124-1st MANWOLF
  9. It's interesting that ADOLF HITLER has been the most featured POLITICAL figure in comics.
  10. I agree that ST #110 is not a very good cover. No advertising or debut announcement. However, I do believe that I saw an UNUSED Ditko cover that had Strange on the cover. Can anyone verify?
  11. I would love to see an issue where Howard meets the duck version of the Marvel Super-heroes.
  12. There are still some undiscovered gems out there. The key is to collect what you like. Here are few suggestions: Marvel: Paladin, Jack of Hearts, White Tiger, Rawhide Kid, Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos, Spiderwoman, Deathlok, Killraven, Ka-Zar, Black Knight, Hercules, Alpha Flight, Power Pack, Black Cat, Silver Sable, Man-Wolf, Stan Lee, to name just a few DC: Ragman, Amethyst Princess of Gem World, Night Force, Captain Carrot, the Outsiders, Infinity Inc,. Omega Men, Secret Six, Manhunter, Madam Xanadu, Patchwork Man, Black Orchid, Prez, aforementioned Creeper, Shade the changing man, etc. Lots of interesting potential with lots of them still very cheap.
  13. well let's at #52 compared to #48. While #48 is important Silver Surfer does not appear on the cover and I think that's important. #52 is a great cover. #48 does introduce SS and he had an appearance in the FF 2 movie. No real change in value overall. it is going up but most key silver is doing that. #52 has jumped astronomically over the past several years. High grade copies are extremely hard to find with the black cover. Also, Black Panther is Marvel's first black super hero. So while #48 is high value there is little room for growth. #52 can still be had but the window is closing.
  14. Maybe THUNDER AGENTS #1? Hard to find in high grade.
  15. With the failure of Marvel's INHUMANS has anyone seen a cooling off of FANTASTIC FOUR #45. I was at a recent show and it seemed everyone was trying to dump their #45s but I could not find a single copy of FF #52 for sale. With the Panther movie on the horizon do you think 352 could rival #48 in importance and value?
  16. well, to be perfectly honest, it's not the characters or story per say but the title. Like SUICIDE SQUAD, SECRET SIX sounds cool and I doubt DC will pass up anything that sounds cool. Plus the idea that it is obscure enough to allow them to pretty much do anything they want with the title. That and it is the first appearance and under-looked key silver age adds up to potential. If I recall, you can get high grade copies (if you can find them) for less than $30-40. Correct me if I am wrong.
  17. I think most silver age have reached their potential. Some books to keep an eye out that I think has potential growth is: GREATEST ADVENTURE #80 (1st DOOM PATROL) SECRET SIX #1 SUPERBOY #68 (starting to take off big time) Detective Comics #478 (1st silver age Clayface) Batman #155 (1st silver age Penguin) much overlooked and very undervalued A lot of DC war comics are also under looked liked ENEMY ACE, UNKNOWN SOLDIER and HAUNTED TANK Marvel wise I see potential in AVENGERS #71 (1st Invaders) Avengers #83 (1st Valkyrie) Avengers #87 (origin Black Panther) Avengers #93 (start of Kree/Skrull war) Marvel Westerns are also over looked. This could have vast potential in the MCU and dirt cheap others MAGNUS ROBOT FIGHTER 1 BLUE BEETLE #1 (1st Question) These are just off the top of my head.
  18. Not exactly a war comic but a very undervalued KEY Marvel.
  19. Can ANYONE tell me the FIRST APPEARANCE of SGT.ROCK? I am not talking about prototypes but ACTUAL 1st appearance. Please help!
  20. No i'm not talking about the terrorist group but the female superhero ISIS. Better stock up on those SHAZAM issues.
  21. Why don't you just check the release dates? Whoever is the earlier wins.
