  1. 4 threads in 3 sections seems a bit much for this same topic.
  2. I should have been more clear. Looking for graded cards. Thanks for the help though I should have checked the name of the forum.
  3. Facebook, Twitter, and the entire internet is buzzing about me selling my DC Comics Collection. But they all got it wrong. In 2008 I sold them to my dear friend, John Barton, for a tiny fraction of their value with the intention of being allowed to keep them in my house until I died. But when DC ended all their runs and reverted to restarting at number one for them all, I was so sickened that I gave him permission to sell them. They were all taken away around 2015 and every comic was examined and graded by Paul Sassiene, comic expert, for Sotherbys. I rather resent everybody assuming I'm the one who's selling them, having given up the ownership twelve years ago. Sotherby's have had them for five years now so I'm bemused that the story has suddenly become public. Fifty years hard, devoted, dedicated work, and all I ever got back was a mere fraction of what I paid for them, yet they will always be known as The Ian Levine Collection.
  4. That’s a 76 page rabbit hole that I may go down but only if they answered my question. Who’s checking? I'm not sure. Maybe the answer is in one of these two threads.
  5. +1 Watching books regularly climb 20% to 100% every few weeks is surely very bad. it will drive people away from the hobby and prevent others from joining it. I know I will not be purchasing any books in this "new" market. I wonder who will be buying them in the future when people that purchase them now are ready to sell? Does everyone's income climb 20% to 100% every few weeks? A much slower, steady climb in prices is good. Where things are right now isn't.
  6. When the book was in the old holder with the rusty staples notation, I believe you could see the staples in a scan of the front cover. I think they were rusted pretty bad. I wonder if the book was pressed to place the staples in the center of the spine, where they would be more difficult to see. Does anyone have a scan of the book in the old holder?
  7. Did he also confirm it’s NM? After examining it, he thought it was NM
  8. Has it been confirmed that the Church copy is unrestored? I believe Steve Borock said it was unrestored.
  9. I expect it would have sold for more if it didn't have rusty staples.
  10. Zurzolo said that while there were hundreds of thousands of copies initially published, it’s estimated only about 100 exist today, and in varying conditions. He said this copy is among the best-kept ones. I believe there are more than 100 surviving copies.
  11. This is the turn around times thread for card submissions. Lets keep it that way, and get back on topic.
  12. If you are talking about paypal, there are two ways to pay. Goods and services and friends and family. Only the former is allowed on the boards.
