  1. How about we tone it down a bit so I don't have to lock this thread.
  2. .5 incomplete blue label. Here is one that is missing a centerfold and has sold for $21,600 on June 6 https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/amazing-fantasy-15-incomplete-marvel-1962-cgc-pr-05-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/122123-11034.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515
  3. The lists consists of both buyers and sellers, and it is there for the benefit of both sides. Those lists are a short cut. For each person on it, there are many posts that aided in putting them there.
  4. I put another note in the moderator section about this. It is frustrating.
  5. I remember seeing Mike go from practicing on very cheap books to getting his work labelled professional on CGC slabs. Kudos to him for sticking with it and becoming a successful, comic book restorer.
  6. I wonder how much it would cost to get a vintage Asteroids arcade machine slabbed?
  7. This is from the GPA website. GOING BACK TO THE BEGINNING The first CGC Census data available for evaluation is from July 1, 2001. At that time, CGC had been open to the public for eighteen months. In the first CGC census, 77,363 comic books had been graded, which gives a very rough estimate of 50,000 comic books graded in the first year of CGC’s history, or about 1,000 comics per week.
  8. I remember a board member hitting the BIN on an Action #10 on ebay for $200 The book graded a 3.0 and sold on Comiclink for nearly 20K A hefty price at the time.
  9. Blackstone will seek to accelerate CCG’s growth, enabling the company to invest significantly in its current and planned services, adding and training new employees, expanding its geographic and product reach, acquiring new technologies and developing its digital presence. Blackstone is one of the world’s leading investment firms with nearly $650 billion in assets under management and a strong track record of creating value and a positive impact for the companies it acquires and the communities that they serve. C. C. Melvin Ike, Principal at Blackstone, said: “As thematic investors, we look for exceptional entrepreneurial teams succeeding in growing markets, and CCG is a great example. We have been closely following the rise of the global physical and digital collectibles industry for several years and we were drawn to CCG because of their leadership role in the categories that they serve, and Blackstone’s ability to grow the platform through both organic and inorganic initiatives. We look forward to working together to help the company continue and even accelerate its impressive growth trajectory.”
  10. I noticed the newsletter on the NGC home page has more info than the one in the link on page 1 of this thread. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210701005601/en/Blackstone-Tactical-Opportunities-to-Acquire-the-Certified-Collectibles-Group-a-Leading-Provider-of-Tech-Enabled-Authentication-Grading-and-Conservation-Services-for-the-Global-Collectibles-Industry
