  1. Absolutely love these two Judy books. Both in excellent condition. Must be a pure joy to own and read them. Great covers, too. Thanks for sharing!
  2. WOW!! Beautiful copy of one of my favorite DC books and my favorite annual. I own two copies including one I bought at Cherokee in Hollywood a few years after the book appeared on the stands. Congrats on owning an ultra HG book. I still have fun reading my "Cherokee copy" about a nice Fine or Fine +. If the book wasn't so expensive in ultra HG, I would buy one. I just took out my CC comics. I love the "in house ad" on the back cover promoting the first Batman Annual and Superman Annual 3. What i really love about this book, though, is the super large DC logo in the Top Left corner. That is so cool. And of course the pink and yellow color combination at the top of the book. You're right--DC surely went all out to promote this book. Betcha DC sold a lot of copies. Even at 25 cents this book was a bargain. Wonder what the sales figures were.
  3. Great book. One of my favorite of the early Flash books. Way undervalued. I bought a Fine copy with vivid colors and spent next-to-nothing for it about 25 years ago. Congrats. Great story, too.
  4. That is a beautiful copy of a rarely-seen title in HG. Very hard to locate. Congrats. I have a few and I love reading them. Congrats. Please share any other DC Judy books.
  5. I agree. Occasionally, I see lower-grade copies but I might add they are very low grades most likely due to the target audience back in the mid-1950s. And I will add that your copy here is very nice and presents quite well. If I saw a copy like that either online or a show if the price was right, I would snag it. Congrats.
  6. I beg to disagree. There are only nine 9 copies in the census: 1 in 8.0 1 in 7.0 1 in 6.5. Let's just conclude that this title is very HTF and just rare in the High grades and well-nigh impossible in Uber HG--9.2 and above. I bought a copy way back in 1986 at SDCC and submitted it to CGC about 8 years ago and it came back 7.0 with OW/W pages. I opened the book once in my life.
  7. Starting to get attention? I have been buying these for more than 25 years including this great copy. Great pickup! Also, this is a beautiful-looking copy for a 6.0. The pink-background certainly pops. I will have to take my copy out and reread it. Again, great pickup.
  8. Wow. These books are Awesome. You almost never see these books with vivid and beautiful colors--especially that Action 234. And the Adventure Comics 232 is one of the greatest in the run. It's such a great cover story; I've read it a "million times". I bought a CGC 8.0 about 8 or 9 years ago and then a reading copy. Congrats!!!
  9. Will a board member direct me to an article on DC Whitman Variants? I would like to know the scarcity of these books in HG. Or if you personally know the scarcity of each one. This includes the Treasury editions as well. I bought my first one on these boards and I'm really enjoying it. Thanks in Advance. Steve
  10. Funds sent via Paypal--Please send this Whitman Variant(Superman vs. Muhammad Ali) to Steve L. Roberts 480 Sundance St. Thousand Oaks, CA 91360 Thank You
  11. I love your Brave and the Bold 36. It's one one great Hawkman covers and is a perfect companion piece with Hawkman # 5. I have a beautiful copy of Hawkman 5 that I bought in the mid 1970s for only 2 bucks and I sure would like the Brave & the Bold to go with it. Are you selling this book?
  12. I'll go with Showcase 30. Great cover art, and storyline. I think it's much harder to find than an FF4 which is easy to locate. But that's just me. Too many Marvel Zombies on these SA boards.
  13. Yes, I collect them. I like to read them though so i don't care too much about shape. Books are too long and hard to read so it's much better reading them in comic book form. Aside from Superman Family titles and classics I don't read many comics.
