  1. Is it possible to scan the back covers of this set. Beautiful-looking books though I'm more interested in reading them Also, due to the amount of foxing, you would have to come down on price considerably. Thanks. SLR
  2. Hawkman 4 is a DC classic but the powers that be should have included Zatanna on the cover I hate when DC did that.
  3. I always prefer Flash 112, the first appearance of the Elongated Man. I have a beautiful Fine copy and have read the stories a number of times. Great origin story of an underrated character in the DC SA Universe.
  4. Congrats. Great Purchase. I have one in a CGC 3.5 (OW) that I bought back in 1974 at a Comic Shop near my home, Passport Comics, in North Hollywood. I've kept it raw though so I can read it now and then. Great story and Carmine Infatino artwork. A classic DC. HTF in any grade.
  5. Are you kiddin' me!! In a country with a game like Australian Rules Football with an oval field no less. Look buddy, it's either Rugby or American football. You can't have it both ways. So the Archies would be worth zilch in your country. LOL. Probably worth the same as pence copies of Marvel books.
  6. I posted a want ad for early SA Superman comics (101-120) Hadn't heard from anyone for a few weeks then here comes Mario with a number of Supermans in that numerical range. Ended up buying the Superman 101 and 102 CGC mid grades which are very HTF in 5.0 and above with decent PQ. The 102 is puling teeth to find and I love that book. Anyway, books arrived stateside within the same week they were sent. Securely packaged as well. I believe I bought HG Kung Fu Marvel books from him about 5 or 6 years ago as well. Great prices, great service. You can't go wrong buying your vintage comics from Mario. Steve
  7. Sea Devils was never a popular title in its day but dang the title sported some of the great grey-tone covers. Beautiful copy!
  8. Love your copy of Superman 55. That is so cool. If you ever decide to part with it, I'm your man but I'm sure you'll want to keep it for awhile. Congrats.
  9. Well, I appreciate Sugar and Spike.
  10. Love the design of that spacecraft. It's beautifully rendered. Great book!! Congrats.
  11. Both are beauties. Wish I could find a copy that looked like either one of those. However, I'm satisfied with my F/VF for now.
  12. Thanks for your observations. Yes, it's always possible but I would think that Archie collectors would want a copy.
  13. I was very lucky to find a nice copy of Betty and Me 16 a little over four years ago at Wizard Con in Minneapolis, Minn. I had been actively looking for many years. It's a raw F/VF copy with vivid colors and great page quality--about OW/W. The OSPG notes the book contains a Classic cover with risque dialogue. I have two questions for collectors of Archie Comics and SA in general. 1) Is it the only book which is noted as "Classic cover with risque dialogue" in the SA (Golden Age as well)? 2) Is the book extremely difficult to find? Personally, I never found one at SDCC, Terry's Show in the OC in SoCal or at Wonder Con. 3) Should the book be labeled scarce? Thanks in advance.
  14. That's a great Superman. A tough one to find but I guess all of them are in HG. Great PQ, too. Just love the book. Congrats!
  15. You have a great collection of "The Atom". I really like that 15. If I didn't have a copy, I would be all over it at that price. GLWTS.
  16. Kudos to Don Heck. A wonderful artist and a bit underrated though he did some great work as these books illustrate. You have a good eye for books.
  17. Beautiful book. Always loved that title. Great washtone cover, too. Congrats. One of my faves.
  18. Not aware of this title. Wonderful artwork. Do you know who did the cover art, the interior art and who penned the stories. Thanks. Great books. Congrats.
  19. i collect only SA comics or what I call pre-Silver. Sold most all of my GA through Heritage and CL and mad some $$. I love my SA DC comics especially The Flash, The Atom, and Kubert War Books. The stories and artwork of GA are very crude for the most part. I prefer Curt Swan, Gil Kane on the Atom and GL, Gardner Fox and the Murph. I like Kirby's DC work especially DC Sci-Fi but not a fan of his work on Marvel. The Hulk is overrated though I do enjoy early X-Men Comics. This is just my opinion of course.. DC Rules.
