  1. ...and with the another "never used" flag pole too. How many flag poles have you seen in comics that never have a flag hanging on them and can also support ungodly amounts of pressure as heroes and villains leap and swing off of them?
  2. That's the one I was alluding to in an earlier post, but thought it was in the FF title. It's a "Ledge Battle" indeed, but since it has "extensive crumbling action"... it's a winner! ..and to me 11/12 1969 are close enough with 15¢ covers.
  3. Welcome! That's an odd roof. Looks like a it has a walkway with fence all around.
  4. ..can't really tell what this scaffolding is coming off of. May have to flag it. Better question is... how does a kung-fu master get maneuvered into such a horrible fighting position? It doesn't get any worse than that.
  5. Another one for Barton... and nothing borderline bronze about it. 3 months into '71
  6. Back on Track ( I suppose Ice-Man is anchored on the edge)... what the "spork" is Angel doing swinging on Spidey's web?
  7. Yes sir, that was the first FF that I remember reading. I was surprised to find that I had so few scanned books that fit this thread, but maybe this one will work. Yet another Roof Top "Free-for-All"
  8. Excellent... Hulk 155 is right on. (thumbs u Avengers 95 looks more like a battle on a cheap rug. Are there roof tops in the great refuge? Avengers 120 is another Roof-Top "Free-for-All" and then some! (thumbs u HFH 2 looks like Luke is about to go over the edge accidentally... not knowing how close the ledge was before busting through the wall Powerman 20 is another "Building in Progress" Battle... like Cap 138. I have a feeling there are plenty of these too. Powerman 28 works ASM 114 is more like a Roof Top Sniper Ambush and I'm not sure the ASM's 119 & 120 really belong (but no less so than the FF 167), 119 is on the top of a dam, not sure what 120 is on. Powerman 29 is the best of this grouping for me. Very much in line with the original 3 covers, but this time Luke's getting the business instead of Spidey. Possible crumbling edge action too. and I'm laughing too Mr. Fish
  9. Well done... more along the lines of the original post. I guess I'd toss Spidey over too so I could keep all those gold coins on the roof to myself
  10. Iron Man # 9 reprint ...and it's the second (along with Hulk 193) with a crumbling ledge corner for good measure.
  11. Not quite a roof top... but close enough to post (thumbs u Always Loved that FF Cover. One of the 3 pieces of OA I own is a battle page from this story by Perez from this issue or the previous.
  12. Damn! That's a Bronze-Age "Roof-Top Edge" Key Character "Free for All" (thumbs u
  13. Well done again Barton! The Beast/Juggy one is funny. A regular house rooftop... can you imagine the call to the homeowner's Insurance and how the hell they didn't fall through? The GS Spidey resembles the original 3 examples I posted more than the others so far.
  14. Excellent Barton... and probably the best from a posing and rendering perspective thus far.
  15. I have a beautiful 9.6 that I'll try and dig out and scan along with your Warlock this weekend
  16. There's gotta' be more. I seem to remember a Hulk vs. Thing battle... Hulk 122 maybe?... although that may be a "ledge" battle. I'm betting JC will find a couple
  17. Thanks for the praise and for taking the time to post the results Bill. Let me know how #4 does the 2nd time around... deserves a 9.8 (thumbs u
  18. Just Jortner. These are two separate entities but Silver Age Comics allows Jortner to sell books in their name through e-bay. I have spoken to Gus, the owner of Silver Age Comics, several times. He is well aware of the issues. Mark, Please clarify where SilverAge currently stands in general as it relates to Jortner. I have been boycotting his auctions (and there have been items I wanted to bid on) since your initial post on the matter months ago. Incidently, I have noticed more than a few of his CGC bronze items sell for less than I expected, or in some cases what I would have bid... so you are making a difference in my view. I assume others have avoided him as well.
  19. I think the CGC Registry has to be responsible for some of the really high, hard-to-figure sales. Especially when the next copy sells for much less. As someone nears completion of a significant set... or is in a "tight battle" with a rival for 1st position they can get lost in the game. Anything can happen when a buyer "needs" to fill a registry set gap.
  20. Kudos to Rick (ArAich) for a great deal on a superb copy of Kull 1 in 9.6. Arrived Quickly and was packed to survive abuse! Thanks (thumbs u
