I WOULD SAY A 3.5, IS THERE ANY WAY TO RESTORE SOMETHING LIKE THIS? I KNOW HOW EVERYONE FEELS ABOUT RESTORATION, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A BOOK RESTORED, ALTHOUGH I HAVE BOUGHT ONE UNKNOWINGLY. JUST CURIOUS. THANKS

1.5 INCH SPINE SPLIT, AT TOP, TOP STAPLE LOOSE FROM COVER, SMALL CHIPS OFF SOME INTERIOR PAGES AT THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER, THANKS IN ADVANCE!

WOW! NICE BOOK! I am not great at this, but I will guess a 5.5? How are the interior pages? tan I would guess from the age? Nice book!!

Ok, I thank you all and give much credit to all for taking the time with the crapy pics. I will have to experiment to see if i can get my scanner to take a better pic of CGCed books. The actual grade was a blue label 4.0. colors are great on the covers and the scans really don't do it Justice. Thank you all, I paid $3050 on Ebay in 2001 and I may try to submit this for a reholder, I just didn't want the grade to change if I did. Thanks again, 4.0

All, I picked this up a 16 years ago on EBAY and it is encapsulated. I am now experiencing anxiety over whether or not the case has been tampered with. Anyone care to guess as to the grade of this book? I will post the label in a few days or so. the edge of the holder looks to have a small crack at the bottom right. Paranoia is setting in and I just thought I would run this by you all. "off white pages" is the only notes on the label and the bottom of the label appears as though it was torn from a larger sheet perforated. it is an old style label. outer case is able to be pulled apart slightly at the seams on the sides. Book doesnt scan good through the holder, this may be a waste of time. Any input? Thank you in advance.

In my uneducated opinion, i would say the first is about a 6.5 and the second a 7.5, but I am not an experienced grader. the spine on the first book looks like it has a small tear on the back cover that may extend to the middle of the cave creatures arm on the front? Like I said, I am no expert.

My initial guess was an due to dust shadow, slight spine wear, and corners, but sweet book!!
