Where is Thrawn in Star Wars Insider #25?
Found it. It's him alright. Plus it predates Dark Horse Insider by six months.

Where is Thrawn in Star Wars Insider #25?

Found 4 copies of MSS #16 today while digging for that Star Wars Insider #25. One was a CGC 9.2, which I promptly dropped on the side and now need to reholder. Win some, lose some.

From what I've read of the novel today, it's pretty good. If you have an audible trial laying around, it's available there too.

I do know that the number of cases of cover A that was sent out to stores by Diamond was 198. At 180 books per case, that means 36,540 copies of cover A distributed. Two stores I know have confirmed it.
That is nothing then, right? Like maybe 100k copies?

Sentai #2 is the first, right?

Lol sorry. That was not my intention. As @Catwomancomicssaid, wait until the first appearance. It’ll come before too long.
It's ok! I'd rather know! Heck, you saved me 100+ on a Yoda one-shot.

It's just an acknowledgement. The masses saved you some money . Wait for the actual first appearance
I still want it. I'm guessing it's going to be a while before we see him. At least it saved me money on a Yoda one-shot!

It’s not him.
Anybody who says it is is wrong. That Cal died in that Yoda book, has different color hair, eyes and a different master...just to name a few. Also, I think the events that lead to that Cal’s death were referenced in a Clone Wars episode, which would make said events canon.
There are a number of persons named Cal in SW legends. And more than one in Canon. (See below). Anybody buying that book thinking it’s the first Cal Kestis is fooling themselves thinking it’s the first Cal Kestis. They simply bought the first appearance of another SW character named Cal.
The first acknowledgement Cal Kestis’ existence in a comic was in SW Jedi Fallen Order Dark Temple #5. He has yet to appear in a comic.
And just like that, I can't find a Jedi Order Dark Temple #5 other than a VG/F one on Ebay.

I only count a granny's hand cut out scrapbook of the Frozen World of Ota from the Star Wars Newspaper strips as the first appearance of Boba Fett now.

Curious why, especially as Leslye Headland's show: The Acolyte, takes place at the end of the High Republic period so in all chances most of the characters won't appear due to being dead - potentially, of course ~
It's a 150 year period of Star Wars history that's probably getting its own show. That will help too.

The books at NYCC are overpriced compared to the big auction sites. That's about the only one I go to. Besides... if they were to cancel cons forever I don't think I would miss them.
Con money has gone to the internet, this has helped all of us.

I hope they dump those ASM 55s in mass numbers I will buy a ton.

Yes, but we'll have to see what happens tomorrow. How fast will it sell out? I'm already seeing someone try to sell it on a Facebook group for $30 each.
The hype on Star Wars High Republic #1 is much higher, curious to see what happens with that book too.
Anybody have print run estimates between the two?

Agreed that the the market as only spoken for now (which is why I put my question mark in my post), but it is hard to bend the arc away to another book as the 'main' book when one is established as a 'first,' and the money flag is planted so-to-speak.
Not to say at all that there can't be multiple targets as a 'first.' I'm think of Warlock as an example. There are the FFs (66/67), Thor (165/166), and Marvel Premiere (1).
With the renewed interest in SW, I think we are still early enough in this wave that there could be more movement to MSS 16.
I'm curious to see how it plays out...
I think so too. I feel the SW 42 cover is behind so much of its value - if it's cover doesn't feature the Bounty Hunters, MSS 16 easily takes the lead.

Anybody think people are too excited about Spider-Man #55?

I think people have been pleasantly surprised by the high republic book chapters released thinking it was just an erasure of Old Republic. I was kind of on the whole thing until I read those. Good stuff.

What's the deal with SW 41 original marvel?
I've been picking up some SW books here and there.

I agree, I feel like it's a bargain compared to the Fett one right now. The cameo aspect is kinda rectified by the pages at the end showing the Yoda "goblin" form too IMO.

Anybody have any intel on Rogue Squadron #25 being the first appearance of Corran Horn too? It appears he's the Corsec officer in the book.

Star Wars #41 (1st Yoda) jumping over the last couple of days since #42 is getting out of reach for a lot of people.
