  1. there weren't any before! how have things changed now?
  2. God, i hate that cover. hey, why is there an arm coming out of the middle of Hulk's chest? :vomit:
  3. this is a reprint. first prints have a different - and cheaper - cover price. Forumite comicwiz is a good source of info on these books, too
  4. jeez, i got a set of MTUs from Brent at qualitycomix this week, and i swear to god i had to call 911 to figure out how to get the packaging taken apart. i think the usps could have kicked that box all the way from alabama and those books would still be okay.
  5. No such animal. yeah, don't the SW reprints have a blank UPC code box, anyway?
  6. it's a Kitchen Sink book, which means that it could be any print except the original. generally you can tell the print version by the price, although i don't know how firm that particular rule is, no pun or entendre intended
  7. fixed that for you, Red. nice books. the butterfly ears were a nice touch, i think
  8. 1939 NYWF is a non-grail? I disagree. First published Sandman. That's at least worth "minor key" status. I'll take it over the Fox book. Lou Fine > Sandman (a character i love, btw)
  9. yeah, and if you get tired of this book lmk
  10. if some crazed terrorist had ever asked me under pain of death for my guess as to a pair of words never combined on a comic cover, i might have said "Exercise Musk-Ox." alas, i would have thought myself safe. luckily, i saw this book first, else there would have been trouble
  11. thanks, Scott...the pages are ow-w. book is very very glossy and supple. i'm pretty happy with it
  12. still not uber-HG, but for less than $20 shippped, i can live with it
  13. Already read it before and I have only seen two copies of this book, two of them I now own, and apparently there is one more in the CGC census but I haven't seen it or any other copies in years. If these are as rare as the Marvel Mystery and Captain America Comic annuals then I don't mind getting it slabbed because if I handle it anymore it will continue to deterioate. A poor copy of the annuals I noted above is fetching thousands of dollars and I don't think many people are even aware that these Superior Publisher copies even exist (I know I didn't until a few years ago). The Cap #74 copies are selling for the same price as the originals. it's your book, do as you see fit. nice pickup btw
  14. why in the world would you slab that? keep it raw and read the durned thing!
  15. he likely carries a six-shooter in his fanny pack, too Among other prophylactics. and an inflatable Superman doll that's wearing a Wonder Woman costume
  16. he likely carries a six-shooter in his fanny pack, too
  17. did you just buy everything that guy had or what? you're going to string out these books for the rest of the year, aren't you? These are other purposes. Westerns are my #1 priority now I've posted my purchases as I've received them.
  18. did you just buy everything that guy had or what? you're going to string out these books for the rest of the year, aren't you?
  19. if you guys want undergraded books, look no further than Wrightson_fan. got in a pair of books today that are nicer than advertised....and i'm a hard grader. thanks, Scott!
  20. nice of Bendis to sign it right smack dab in the middle there. wouldn't want the art to stand out by itself or nothing
  21. If you bring that to Charlotte, you wont leave with it i've another one just like it that i would be happy to scan for you if you want to spend money in Charlotte that you weren't planning on spending
