i know this is a stupid very unnecessary question but i just am curious, are there a set number recorded that says the amount of comics CGC has graded? i know it grows everyday but does anyone know how many are out there

Wanted a Stan sign on a Pre-Silver Age, Sci-Fi book that he worked on and preferably had a Kirby cover, though Ditko would have been ok too.
Needed to be an early, legible sig before things got all mushy and thick-sharpie.
Ended up happily with this for less than Stan's signing costs. (even though it's a Buscema cover, cant complain!)
did stan work on this one? he is not mentioned on the label

Have 2
1st is death of Gwen (spoiler) signed by lee romita and Conway. I usually don’t like his sig on books he didn’t write but there’s so much history with him with this particular storyline that I felt it was ok and I bought the book with all 3.
the 2nd is my grail I’ll be looking to sell and upgrade someday hopefully soon.
i cant agree more with ASM 121, usually i would not like to own a book that he did not work on and still signed, it but 121 is a special exception, love the story of how mad stan got after he found out what they did

Hey guys, I have done many threads based on stan lee and his signings but I have never put all of it together, if it is a spider roach ASM 129 or a beautiful AF 15 signed beautifully in a perfect location with a perfect signature on a lower grade so it does not "ruin it" no matter what show it here this thread is for the stan lee lovers only, if you are against stan lee SS books don't post here (though some of your reasons are respectable) I will start with my one holy grail I have showed this book many times in the past but I am so proud of it so I just have to start this thread with it. "Nuff said" #WeLoveStanLee

Awesome book - what did it look like before/where was the colour touch?

I subbed my Spidey 1 with color touch for resto removal at the Carbo show last month. It was a 4.5, now it’s this. At first I was bummed about the grade, and after having it one night I started to get really happy. It feels like I have a new book. I do like the Stan label, and on this book with this quote, it’s fitting.
Yes I seriously adore that book, and he wrote the famous quote on there, love it

My guess is that it was probably McFarlane and Liefeld.
one has to be rob but the second very well could be McFarlane or Simonson who knows... but it is not worth cracking out for

hey guys i know that tape leaves a nasty residue and yellowing onto comics after sitting for a while on the book, but what if you get a book graded, or what if CGC nots "tape on spine of cover" or "tape on centerfold" can this tape still affect the book even when graded and if so how can you stop it from happening thanks

Stan Lee's signature is not rare, there are literally tens of thousands of items signed by him, i seriously would not be surprised if he has reached over 500,000 items, but it does not mean its worthless, he puts a fair price on signing books now days last i checked he was charging 120 per sig, because of this the price stays at about $100 least, yes if he signs a key issue on the right place it can sell for much more, but on a mile stone, not really. Mile stones are cool to have but understand they are pretty worthless, they printed alot of them and they are fairly new, brand new they usually sell for no more than $40, so i would not be surprised to see your book signed by stan go for anymore than $150

stan was feeling great last time i met him which was October 2017 it was after Joanie died that he began to feel like he was

I am so sorry I have been away and could not check my CGC account and yes I was just about to say the same due to the horrible things they are saying about how he is being treated to sign is cruel and this thread should be closed so for that reason I am ending it I am so sorry it is horrible what they are doing to him and I must say I love Stan lee I always have I started this chat really just to see other people signed books (bad ones) and I have had chats were I say let's see your stan lee cgc books I love him and collect his siagntures and have been fortunate to meet him multiple times, he is funny and all together lovely I love stan lee. I do feel this thread does not have to be took down and rather reintroduced as a give stan love thread so that is what I am going to do, if you really feel this thread should be closed say so and I will close it if anyone eels it disrespects stan... this thread was never to discriminate stan it was to discriminate the stupid handlers who force him to sign thousands of books and that why he signs in "bad" places... so let's honor stan "the man" lee

I would be curious to see a sample of Stan Lee Autographs collected from all over for certain days.
that is kind of what i am working on i have found signatures dating all the way back to 1962 but they are scarce in older years, starting 1975 onward he began signing much more

Yeah, that is the third no I am most upset about. I have been thinking about taking it off but I don’t know if a safe way of doing that.
dont they don;'t come off, once peeled it leaves a trail of broken pieces of silver on the comic saying "valid"

I'm also guessing a scan would show some nice eye appeal that's not being picked up by the picture.
It looks nice in person thanks
