Hey guys just wanted to get rid of some books as I need the money right now so sadly I have to sell my few Stan lee sigs, these I have bought three different seller through out the years and though I have personally met Stan I would never give the sigs I got away as those are too special to me, so is it risky I don't know there not CGC SS but some of them look like his older sig (the neater legible ones) in a few of the books he signed in a horrible place but still neat pieces I have compared these to others and they don't look that far off but you be the Judge here they are
1.where creatures roam 3 signed by Stan on first splash page in blue pen nice sig
2.marvel team up annual 4 has a big hole in bottom and sig goes into a black surface which makes the last two e hard to read but still very nice sig
3. Amazing Spider-Man poster I don't know if is the original as I have never seen that one before nice Stan sig in spideys leg legible and nice
now to the bad ones
4. X- men deluxe 48 signed by Stan right In the black!!!! ???? still a nice legible signature if looked up closely and the important part is it's there
5.this one is just weird but cool in the same time it's a coverless modern age book!!!! I have no idea what issue it is and don't know if it's just missin the first wrap or the cover or what ever it's just strange but Stan did sign it why did he sign it I have no idea but it is a Stan sig anyways the guy who sold me it was beyond disbelieve too but I guess you can tell your friends you have a coverless modern age marvel book that is signed by stan
asking price $295 shipped
i mean I actually paid more than that but I end the money and fast really cool none the less and hey for anyone who wants to own some cool stan sigs even if someone them are "less" than cool
thanks

Looks like the only matches are:
More Fun 52 (obviously this one is too expensive to use)
Action comics 21
Adventure comics 47
All of these match the back cover art, but I don't know if the inside ad matches.
thanks i think ill try the Adventure 47 seems like the only book i would pay for just the back cover since its probably the cheapest,

hey guys im sure this has been done before but i cant fine one so i suppose why not just create one.
post a picture of your grail and name the reason why you love it so much, also your "Grail" does not have to be a key issue or anything like that, it is just the book that YOU love not a book that someone else says you should love.
i'll start out with mine, i've shown this book a lot on CGC but i just love it, and sure its not the most valuable book in my collection but is was my first ASM book which is now my favorite series and its the only comic i own which i personally got Stan to sign. plus love doc ock, and that Ditko cover though

Santa left the bookends for me (the two books are inserted for test purposes; their permanent assignment will be in my office holding my first print, acquired upon release editions of Origins of Marvel Comics, Son of Origins, Bring on the Bad Guys, etc.)
The micro chamber paper is being cut and shipped today!
The Li'Jinx 1-page story was my daughter's haul.
REAlly love those hulk thing bookends just awesome

Thanks. But let's say you want to buy a book that guides for $1000 universal. What would you expect to pay for a married copy of that book in that grade? same price? 10% less, 20% less?, 30% less? What? That's the answer I'm looking for...
i mean i guess i depends on what book it is and what person is buying it, by that i mean how desirable is it

The coverless copy is about the same or better than the one missing the centerfold, and it has all the pages. How much does a Conserved grade lower value on a book? Does anyone know? It's probably not as much as a Restored grade...but I just don't know how collectors view conserved books...
personally i hate conservation as much as restoration i try to always stay away from books that have any work to them which is not original though i know many people who dont mind it as much so i guess its really up to the person, i have no problem with married books though in my mind if its original from that same issue then its fine, sure lets say a cover that is married was not printed for that book particularly but it was still printed for the same issue in the same year and month and who knows maybe that married covers original copy was printed alongside and sold alongside your coverless copy, who knows.
in my mind though if i were to choose book labels here are from what i most like to what i dont like so much
1.Universal grade
2.Qualified grade
3.Conserved grade
4.Restored grade
just my opinion...

Back in the mid-90s I bought a Superman 11 missing a centerfold. Then I bought a coverless copy to marry to it. The staple holes do not line up, so I never did anything with them. What does it cost to have a book sent off and married? And how much does a married designation lower the value?
When you marry a book you should never get a lower grade then what it would be if it was not married 5he only differnce is it will become a qualified grade instead of universal

Are there any CGC 10 for GA out there?
in Comics General
Posted
i mean i guess the only way a 10 is given is if it literally PERFECT like if it was out of the printing press and into CGC for grading, though i agree that it is impossible in my mind that any book can be a 10 there must be at least a extremley minor amount of damage from going out of the printer being stapled being shipped out to the comic shops being paced on the comic racks then someone buying it someone taking it home putting it in a box shipping it to CGC a CGC grader taking it out and grading it encapsulating it, impossible that no damage happens from all of that
as for your question i guess what makes the difference is a 10 is literally 100% flawless perfect and a 9.9 could be 99.99% flawless
