  1. I went a little too crazy in 2021 so I am reigning it in a bit. In order of priority: Avengers 4 (3.0-4.0) Iron Man 55 (6.0 ish) Avengers 8 (4.0) Fantastic Four 52 (5.0 - 6.0) Amazing Spider-Man 3 (what a terrible time to want this book, so I am waiting at least 6-8 months. 3.0 preferably) Silver Surfer 3 (have 1 and 4, so once I get 3 I can easily do the run, 5.0 - 6.0)
  2. Thank you! Yeah I think passing this one by would have been a mistake. I am also planning on resubmitting it with a clean and press at some point so it may come back Off White or something. Regardless I am very happy with it Thank you!
  3. Small update, I made the plunge on my first CR/OW book and am thrilled. I think it displays very nice for a 3.0!
  4. My first Avengers book! I think I want to do the 1 - 100 run now Also my very first Cream to Off White pages. I just couldn't turn down such a nice presenting 3.0
  5. Very excited to own this! Shout out to @ghn999for the great price and excellent shipping
  6. Yep! Water stains on the top back cover and on the top front cover. Must have been a bit in this area too! i was also thinking these could be like tape pulls from a price sticker from back in the day thanks!
  7. After some googling, this looks like it is probably an ‘ink skip’. Well TIL. https://www.alphacomics.ca/cgc-what-affects-a-comics-grade/
  8. Actually I think your first notion was right, this looks like something was on the printer when the blue color was applied. Then the yellow applied over that white spot.
  9. Looks like a friction or a color rub? The white spots around the letters and above and below. I have the grader notes and nothing mentioned. Based on the marks all around it seems like just general wear and tear but wanted to get expert opinions I posted this in General but figured it was better here Edit: or maybe something was on the printer?
  10. That would be a big problem as this is a Blue label 3.0 The Yellow on the letters all look the same to me, it looks almost like friction just rubbed some spots off
  11. This is CGC Universal 3.0, I noticed it has a kind of unique mark. The white spot goes under the ‘R’, which indicates it’s not damage/wear. Printer defect? Or maybe it is damage/wear from something sitting on the book Edit: the more I look at it the more i think it’s just wear on the book, based on the other marks around it
  12. Probs not the same as yours, less than 3-4k on the census count I suppose. Big silver age key Marvel 1962-1963 stuff. I’m personally looking at an Avengers 1.. obviously there are way more scarce books.
  13. Yeah the ones I am looking for are 1963 Silver Age, and I know a lot of folks on this forum are a ‘hard no’ on CROW SA books (at least from what I remember reading)
  14. When you are scrounging and saving for a big book (say its a scarce one), how much does page quality affect your decision? Say you find one with beautiful colors, centering, etc, but it is CR/OW. Is that a hard pass for you? The more I collect, the more I realize I have passed over a lot of books immediately because I see CR/OW pages (and the book is staying slabbed anyway)
  15. No Hall of Shamers and all that. Payment is Paypal or Venmo (Venmo preferred) No returns on slabs, returns on raws ok in 14 days, buyer pays return shipping. Books will be shipped securely in a medium flat rate, shipping is $12. Superman's Pal: $275 Forever People 1: $150 (I am guessing the grade is between 3.5 - 4.0) Star Wars 1: $300
  16. This is for my PC so probably will just keep it in mylar for the time being. If CGC ever gets their turnaround times to something reasonable I have a handful of books I want to send in including this SS1 and the SS4 but I am not in a rush
  17. K I feel so much better. Also this was stressful as a mofo.
  18. True. Sigh. I will name this hanging margin piece "Chad".
  19. I am leaning toward cracking this but I always get all stressed out and excessively sweaty when I crack slabs. I would be a terrible surgeon.
  20. Bought it. In the pic it looked just like a crease or tear which is whatevs. But the fact that I can fix it is...troublesome.... 0_0 *twitches
  21. It's just staring at me. My Silver Surfer 4 is raw and looks good in mylar so I may just crack this so they can be friends.
