  1. Is there a thread that states what blanks are good and which aren't as good to use in certain situations?

I'm wondering which ones take color well. I'd like to get a sketch done on an Image United blank, but it looks like its pretty slick and I'm wondering if that means it will suck to use. I have a short box worth of other blanks I could use such as twd 109, avengers 1, 7, defenders, and a bunch of others.

This would all be moot if Kirkman would finally put out an Invincible blank. The biggest cast of characters in the best super hero book ever and no blank.....

  2. So.... you like it I presume? ;)

    I can't read hardcovers or compediums :(

I'm doomed to TPBs or floppys... preferrably "bigger" tpb's

I get the singles and then the hardcovers for rereading. For the books that I like to read a lot, I go with hardcovers. The pages are nice and bigger, but they are still comfortable to read laying down. Trades are good, but they get a bit too much wear and I've been soured on them a bit by the crappily made vertigo trades that the interior tends to separate form the cover.

  3. Phil Hester is a good writer so I'm giving it a chance. First issue was ok. IMO, the problem with these books is that they try to be too big with too many characters. If they did arcs featuring one or two characters, I think that would be great, but they probably can't do that because Kirkman should be writing that kind of stuff.

  4. Revival is a quality read, I'm still waiting for the reveal!

the reveal will be if not the last, then one of the last issues!

wait, how many issues do they plan to make of the series? hm

im hoping for at least 60

I could've sworn that Norton said it was planned for 25 in an interview, but maybe they opened that up since the series is doing well.

  5. Also, I think you guys are looking too hard for problems with the show. If something goes unanswered, it's usually answered in the next episode or so. Don't they need to create a "hook" for viewers to want to come back and watch the next episode?

    A "hook?" Absolutely. Confusion? No.

In that case, maybe my first sentence applies to you?

Seems that most people enjoyed the episode without confusion.

God, I hate using this phrase, but to each their own.

The show is definitely awesome. I've never complained about it and I'm not complaining about it now. I'm just saying that I'm starting to notice (without "looking for") some of the reasons that there may be a new show runner next season. I wondered why they would get rid of him and between the ambiguity of Lori's "death" and last night, I'm wondering if that's why.

The show is still awesome though. Just trying to figure out why they'd want a new show runner.

  6. Loved this episode, but I'm starting to see some problems with the show.

As mentioned, nothing was mentioned about Tyreese and company so you are left to wonder if they left or were locked up or what. Two simple, quick character lines could've addressed that.

I don't mind the tension between Andrea and Glenn. I understand it from Andrea's side as she was just traumatized. Why Glenn is being a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed isn't written out very well at all.

Darryl's back. They should've done a close-up on that. I had to rewind 3 times to figure out what they were talking about. Those upper back tramp stamps moved my eye focus there. Should've been a close up.

I'm starting to see some issues as to why maybe there is going to be a new show runner.

The Governor is pretty awesome and I'm starting to think we may get a Governor / Michonne seen after all. One can hope at least.

I'm pretty sure you mean Maggie and not Andrea

    Derp. Yep.

  8. The day after ToT #1 took off, a boardie put up 6 copies for $9 each. I :takeit: x2 thinking I would be nice and let some others have one.

The next guy bought the last 4 .. Lesson learned.. Don't be to nice. Should have grabbed all 6.

:sorry: to the seller (don't remember who). You didn't know what you had.

As much money as I constantly leave behind, I can't bring myself to purchase more than 2 of the same book at a time from my LCS. One if there are only two on the shelf. I always try to leave something for the next person, even if I know they're just grabbing it to flip themselves.

Same. Example - I left a few copies of Chew 1 on the stands. If people can't read these books, no one will care in the end. Of course, that was before they started going to multiple printings.
