  1. Question: They grade "magazines" because all of their cases have the same height and width, correct? They're just deeper? Seems weird to branch into cards if you don't grade the full range of comic sizes (if said question is "correct").
  2. Cost will vary from vedor-to-vendor. @joeypost should be able to determine if it's completely removable.
  3. Nope. It'll always be a 9.6. You could always sell and upgrade if you're hellbent on a CGC 9.8, though.
  4. Can't just blame sellers for buyer's mistakes. Nothing wrong with educating buyers by bringing this seller into the limelight, either. That's an advantage of social media right here.
  5. Not really. eBay and PayPal protect buyers 1,000,000% more than sellers. The seller isn't forcing anyone to buy his comics. People need to be educated, and avoid sellers like this. Darwinism of the hobby. We often say to "buy the book". When people ask about certain listings, we suggest that they request additional photos. People need to do their diligence. As I said, I don't like this seller.
  6. Do I like it? No. We can only stop it by not falling for it, though. I support the seller's ability to grade his/her own comics and sell them as s/he sees fit.
  7. No matter how much I "vent" about TLJ - it ain't going away anytime soon. It's only been about 2-1/2 years. Plus, it handicapped TROS. So its effect has stacked, like in the board game Checkers. There's no psychological method of fixing. Only time can heal the pain. A lot of time. Or, maybe, memory-affecting drugs. We'll see.
  8. Which means that either; A. His business model is a success, or; B. The buyers take his word for the comic grades and are personally uneducated on grading. He's basically an As Seen on TV seller. Rarely do the products work (or are in the condition) as-advertised. People love those things, though.
  9. I'm not a robot, man. I do have emotions. TLJ and/or Rian Johnson elicit pure hatred for disrespecting a franchise that I've loved since I was, like, 5 years old. You could say that I'm "obsessed" with the Justice League Snyder Cut, if we're gonna talk about legit obsessions.
  10. If it is of their opinion that the book is in better condition than CGC appraises, then who is anyone to disagree? It's the nature of the hobby. If people are going to buy raw comics, I suggest that they educate themselves on grading. Then, they won't have buyer's remorse.
  11. Update: I'm allegedly supposed to receive this today.
  12. I... Think so...? When I receive an offer for an item I didn't ask for, I just change it back. As a small-store seller, this ain't a big deal. I can see this being a huge headache for large-quantity sellers, though.
  13. NHL would be the authority - not Wayne Gretzky. CGC would be akin to 1 team's GM. Are you suggesting that CGC's opinions are the only one that matters? That would be dangerously arrogant IMO.
  14. If you're insinuating that I'm a "CGC hater", then, you're incorrect. I'm not sure how you inferred that from my post. Just a friendly reminder that appealing to CGC as "the authority" doesn't work since grading has existed long before the company has.
  15. MCU Iron Man 2: Iron Man and War Machine vs the drones in the dome. Brief, but I love it. Iron Man 3: Iron Man battling Killian/etc with all of those different suits at the docks. The Winter Soldier: The highway/street battle before Cap reveals Bucky's face. Age of Ultron: "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you against all of me. How could you possibly hope to stop me?" Ragnarok: Right when Thor has his vision with Odin, revealing that Mjolnir was never his source of strength. Infinity War: Any scenes fighting against Thanos. Opening, Knowhere, Titan. Also; Thor's entrance in Wakanda. Endgame: The Big 3 vs Thanos. Far From Home: Spider-Man vs the drones on the bridge before he "kills" Mysterio. Worlds of DC Man of Steel: All of the fight scenes. Dawn of Justice: All of the fight scenes. Other Logan: Wolverine vs X-24.
