  1. It doesn't, though, because the Russo Bros confirmed that he traveled to a time when he was long accepted as dead. The record is of-significance and the year it was "popular" holds no bearing on when they were dancing to it.
  2. And, again, I'll state that you're only correct regarding the fact that "there is no debate". You can claim that those are 1940's furniture, but with what evidence...? Uncorroborated conjecture. By any accounts I can search, people of historic education suspect that Rogers returned to somewhere between 1955 and 1970. I lived in a house built/furnished in the 90's for 20 years. Those don't even look like 1940's furniture lol. The 1940's is an arbitrary argument based on nothing. 1970 makes logical sense since he already had to travel there.
  3. They didn't have carriages and cars in 1970...? As mentioned - the song was already referenced in The Winter Soldier. They didn't select it based on the era that he went back to.
  4. "I believe", despite the fact that the Russo Bros wholeheartedly disagree with this line of thinking. The writers' comments on this make literally no sense when the movie conveys an exclusivity to the management of time travel. If you want to believe the wrong theory, then all the power to you...
  5. You're right - it isn't a debate. He didn't go back to 1945. The writers have never said as much. You must've overlooked the fact that the song playing while they danced was the same record Fury played in Cap's apartment in 2014 (The Winter Soldier). It is okay to be wrong - as you often are.

  8. No. He created a new branch reality by not returning from 1970 (when and where he returned the Tesseract). There are 2 alternate universes that we know of. The one beginning in 1970, where Steve stayed - and the one beginning in 2012, when Loki took the Tesseract. A 3rd is possible but unconfirmed. It's suggested that when Tony used the Nano Gauntlet, he was able to not only turn the 2014 Thanos army to dust, but he was also subsequently able to clip that branch reality ('cause Infinity Stones). It all depends on what they plan on doing with Gamora. If she's in GotG Vol. 3 - then there's definitely a 4th multiverse. If not, then Tony clipped that branch.
  9. I've actually decided to abandon #2 and #4. Scratched 2 others off the list.
