  1. This is unacceptable. Those 2 hours coincide, and overlap, with my 2 hour lunch. What do you expect me to do with my life!?
  2. I don't think so. This is different than every other "top" thread. The One Above All would beat your , Ken, for your attitude here.
  3. Key word. Neither CGC, nor Borock, are authorities on grading. Ageism in comic book collecting would be, or is, a bad thing.
  4. Steve Borock is 1 person - who works for Voldemort. He is not the authority on grading, either. A general rule for any unbiased grader would be not to discriminate for/against ages. Otherwise, you'd be 'doing it wrong', if there were such a thing...
  5. I hate the non-cartoon and over-sexualized aspects of Harley Quinn. I still have a soft spot for the OG character, though.
  6. I'll be honest, I didn't read anything after your OP.
  7. How the does this have anything to do with comics?
  8. It's viewed as "history" of the book. I personally don't care for them, but I understand why some collectors would.
  9. There is no "formal education" when it comes to grading, FYI. It's a subjective art. CGC is not the authority, either. They happen to be a well-respected organization who authenticates comic books and assesses their opinion of their perceived condition. Graders without bias do not discriminate Golden Age vs Modern Age. That is the answer.
  10. Okay. In-demand comics as a reference, green books sell much easier than PLOD books.
  11. Yes, as mentioned above. I think that the conservation label is applied to actually conserved comics, though. Like using preservative methods rather than Scotch tape, etc.
  12. I have never heard "GLOD" in the 5-or-so years I have been collecting. That's just my experience.
  13. Excuse you...? CGC is not the only group of people who grade comic books. They are a very small minority of graders in the comic book business. I gave you the answer. You did not say anything about "CGC" in the OP. You asked a simple question and I provided a simple answer. Please don't act like you requested some elaborate post within the OP - because you didn't. It's fine to ask afterwards, but don't be aggressive as though we're expecting to expound tons of information, when the request was not that detailed.
  14. Post counts don't matter. Your post is informational. Thank you.
  15. Qualified labels aren't usually killers, though - mostly using in-demand books as a reference. People don't really 'look down' upon them. Are there any missing chunks that don't affect story on the interior?
  16. Vague/simple questions will receive simple answers. Most people don't have time to write essays to teach someone something that takes years of detailed assessment and trial/error to understand. " Are there different grading criteria for ages? " Pretty simple question, right? The simple answer will be "yes" or "no". The correct answer is "no". No one, outside of CGC, knows how CGC grades. Anyone trying to accurately grade without bias will not 'adjust' for "Age".
