  1. Non-color-breaking creases/bends are definitely not as bad. You can have this pressed out. You can't discern when/where the flaw happened. It could have arrived from Diamond with a bend like this, but that doesn't make it a "manufacturing error" as it wasn't printed like that. If you can't see a flaw in images, of course a seller could say that it wasn't in that condition pre-shipping, but then as the customer, you could say "item not delivered as-described". A seller should always ship comics in a method that maintains the condition as-owned. That doesn't always happen, though.
  2. Shazam is not as funny as the trailers would indicate (which is a positive, IMO) and the 3rd act is very mediocre. It's still good, though. Aquaman was always gonna be CGI-heavy. Either you live with it or you don't. Can't hold that against you, but I think it's a mostly-good movie outside of that CGI army battle trope in the 3rd Act. DC's gold lies in their Justice League characters and their villains. They need to focus on them and stop dishing out these turds like Suicide Squad and "Birds of Prey" (which is really just a Quinn film). They're really shooting themselves in the foot with these productions.
  3. Let's pretend that the comic is otherwise a 9.8 grade. It seems like something, because it not only impacts the cover - but multiple pages, may might bring it into 9.4 range. If we're pretending it's anything below 9.2, then it may bring it a 0.5 grade lower. If it's this visually obscure, but there upon inspection, that's usually the criteria for me. Again, this is all uncertain without photographic evidence. Just trying to help the best that I can.
  4. He must be drunk or something, because he called the Sokovia Accords "Sagovea" or some .
  5. By "you" I assume that you don't actually mean me, because I don't try to underpay for a comic, and I don't really sell comics. Anyone who gives a comic some "Golden Age bump" is not being unbiased and is not a fair grader. It should be inherently tougher to receive better grades from older "Ages" because of the history. It's part of the fun in vintage collecting. To be fair to CGC, of the Golden Age comics I've researched and 'watched', none of them appeared to be over-graded. That includes 1940's Action Comics and Superman, Pre-Code Horror, etc. I haven't seen any anecdotal evidence to suggest that they still give GA bumps.
  6. Basically impossible to advise without an image to reference. Sorry.
  7. There are different methods of increasing value, though. You could get restoration removed and dramatically reduce the number grade of the book. Or. You could get a professional restorer to remove the amateur work done, and use professional methods/materials to further restore the book. I'm not sure which a Playboy collector would prefer.
  8. Manufacturing errors typically keep a comic out of Mint/Gem Mint range. A comic with 0 staples is almost assuredly never going to be in Gem Mint condition.
  9. Shoot, I have always known this. I am a hockey fan, though. Guys like Sergei Fedorov, Pavel Datsyuk, Alex Ovechkin, and Andrei Svechnikov have always given me the idea of the intelligent, hard-working, humble, funny, and great Russians. Tons of Russian YouTubers that are awesome, too.
  10. It has nothing to do with "consideration". She was never an Avenger. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You can't spell SOKOVIA? I'm not even reading the rest after that. OMG. Some MCU "fan".
  11. By graders, I mean literally anyone who grades. CGC, CBCS, and PGX comprise a very tiny amount of people who assess the condition of comic books. Educated guess: The vast majority of them do not subscribe to the "Golden Age bump".
  12. Former. Like, long time ago former. CGC is also not the only group of graders out there. Faaaaaaaaaar from it. Being as objective as you can is the best grading practice.
  13. I have considered buying a ticket(s) for you, or paying you back for them if you somehow don't enjoy it, but... I tried to use my words instead. At least I tried.
  14. I skipped it during the pre-Endgame marathon (also skipped The Incredible Hulk).
