  1. Typical? Maybe, but no, not all sub-9.8s receive grader notes.
  2. CGC employs experts at grading. While they do rarely make mistakes, it's very likely that you're not observing the flaw. As has been mentioned - it could be on the inside of the back cover.
  3. Depends on the overall condition. Low-grade? Probably not at all. Mid-grade? Possibly not at all. High-grade? Possibly not at all. Is it actual bleed-through, or is it transfer from another ad?
  4. Phoenix was flawless, regardless of our opinions regarding the story.
  5. Well, yeah, Wayne is in the movie and who Arthur thinks his dad is. I simply don't like that inclusion because I think it's just pandering to those who are there for a DC comic book movie. I think they wanted to cram as much Batman junk in as they could. I preferred otherwise.
  6. Idk. People talk about bad movies like Captain Marvel, too... Worlds of DC tends to produce comic book movies that make you think, though.
  7. Wayne doesn't have to be related to Fleck in any way for that to matter. Wayne Enterprises reinforces the story happening within Gotham. A DC movie. Wayne employees are 'regular' people. Arthur doesn't connect with regular people.
  8. The story supports that she's delusional. Otherwise I don't see the point. If she's not delusional, then what was the point of everything that happened? Nothing supports the other observation. I think the filmmakers are trying to make us question our own sanity, obviously. It's working!
  9. That still supports the fact that it does not have to be Wayne - and IMO it shouldn't have been Wayne.
  10. That's just confusing "cinema", if so. We already see some realization of delusion. What's the purpose, if it's all delusion?
  11. Thomas Wayne being replaced by any schmo doesn't change anything. The story would be the same. Delusional man. Delusional adopted mother. Deluded into thinking a man is his father. Etc. Wayne being that man isn't important. The story would've been better had he not been that man IMO. Tried too hard to make a Batman connection.
  12. Well, Arthur didn't take his mom's word at face value. He confronted Wayne and there was no indication that they're related. No part of their interaction appeared to corroborate what she said. He investigated, and the story tells us that he's not Wayne's son. And then there's the adoption papers. The story tells us that she's delusional. She lied to herself and to her adopted son. Arthur lied to himself, too.
  13. He looks younger than 10. Regardless, a 45+ year-old Joker isn't gonna cause a 20-25 year-old Batman many problems... I didn't care for any of the Wayne family connection at all. Wayne Enterprises, employees? Fine. Wayne running for Mayor? Fine. Interacting with Fleck? Accomplished nothing.
  14. Delusion is quite common. Arthur suffers from worse conditions that he didn't inherit from her and couldn't have inherited from Wayne. The movie plays out that he's unrelated to them. We kinda need to take that at face value otherwise we are suffering from delusion, too... You know what they say about assumptions? It's likely that Penny wrote it based on her own delusions. The other 2 are some of the biggest reaches I've ever read. People are reading in between lines when there's nothing but paper there. The movie has transparent messages.
  15. Are you assuming that the entire movie was delusion? If so - I don't see how that makes sense.
  16. Sorry, but it's improbable that your copies are Mint or Gem Mint. Even if they're in the same condition as you bought them 30 years ago, 9.9/10 suggests that they were printed perfectly and show no signs of handling. It's simply highly unlikely. Just want you to lower your expectations. The 2 users above have covered the other stuff for you.
