  1. Oppenheimer may be the most significant figure in applied sciences. There are 'more significant' figures overall, regarding religion and theoretical science, etc. I suppose the guy to supplant Oppenheimer will be the one who manages to accomplish nuclear fission as clean energy source. (Oppenheimer builds the largest man-made destroyer, the next guy builds the largest man-made creator.)
  2. The answer to most of your questions these days, is just 1 word: Postmodernism. People get bored and try to 'fix' things that aren't broken, which simply causes conflict. We don't have much real conflict anymore so people create their own problems instead.
  3. I grew up on all of those Disney animated movies and cannot believe what a joke that studio has turned into.
  4. Most easily-identifiable trimming I've seen in this sub.
  5. The whataboutism isn't going to deflect Gunn's earned criticism, though. It's a pointless, trolling endeavor at this point.
  6. For example, when I watch Legacy on Max in 2025, I won't be comparing it to Man of Steel; I will be criticizing it for its own individual shortcomings.
  7. I don't think that Bosco - or anyone else here - is suggesting that the "Snyderverse" will return? Instead of making it about Gunn vs Snyder, why can't we simply criticize Gunn for his own, isolated words/actions?
  8. Which previous DCEU creatives pestered people on a regular basis?
  9. Since I don't really know anything about SAG/etc... Are all actors part of SAG?
  10. Currently in a phase of "too many cooks in the kitchen". If you don't need a prep chef, don't hire a prep chef.
  11. That is not how a brand CEO acts on social media. Gunn being terminally online is going to hurt DC.
  12. I think that there's a lot of underappreciated creatives in the industry. VFX has been suffering because not enough time/money is invested in that process, for example. Justice League got rushed because executives wanted year-end bonuses; So those signing the checks clearly don't have their priorities straight with where the money goes.
  13. Not intentionally. What about it makes the trailer any better?
  14. Actors generally put in good work, so I'd 'support' that strike, though I think that the top earners really get too much (kudos to their agents, I guess).
