  1. I'm all-for 'equality' and everything, but men and women aren't the same. We should celebrate the differences between us. Not meld perception into believing we're 1 and the same. Nobody's special. We're all equally worthless.
  2. Because it's magazine size with sturdy cover stock. Very easy to get Mint+ grade.
  3. IMO, no, because it looks like you'd only make a 2-figure profit after shipping and grading costs. Maybe $50-75 in your pocket.
  4. I get it from your guys' views. As a collector beginning in 2014, though, it's a lot different journey. You guys have been collecting for decades. As someone very relatively new to the hobby, buying collected editions gives me easier access to all of the stories you guys were hunting for before they were bound into a single book. I'm more interested in having access to the stories than the single issues themselves. I want to read them after all. Quantity of quality stories > quantity of single issues for me. I would never be able to read so many great comics if I went after all these vintage issues.
  5. It's more of a storage-management issue for me. Also an OCD thing. The neat presentation of hardcovers and TPBs, making the stories so much easier to find and read, goes a long way for me. I'd rather have single issues than digital. I understand the convenience of digital, but it does nothing for me. I can't pay attention to a dumb- screen after working on my computer for 8 hours every day.
  6. It just hurts my 'soul' (if there ever was such a thing) to look at most low-grade comics. There are some exceptions out there. Since the cover is the only thing you see in-slab, I only want comics I can truly appreciate within the plastic tomb. Most low-grades have some major/moderate cover degeneration. If I were to crack open a book, then a complete low-grade wouldn't be out of question.
  7. If @BlowUpTheMoon didn't put in the fix to eliminate me from the Grading Tournament, I'd nominate him. Just couldn't let the Rookie win, could you?
  8. You celebrated 3,000 posts before reaching the milestone? Shame on you.
  9. Correct-a-mundo. Staple replacement is restoration. If it was replaced with vintage staples it would be conservation. So, it'll receive a PLOD if submitted to CGC. Would have received a gray/blue label if they were vintage staples.
