If they didn't want Spider-Man to be the linchpin of the future MCU then they wouldn't have Tom Holland and Spider-Man groomed by RDJ Iron Man. They're simply both good for the health and business of Marvel Studios. At some point Sony will have to surrender to the Mouse, just as Fox did...
