  1. There's only 2 CGC-graded copies of Action Comics #666. That doesn't make the issue, itself, rare. Just the amount of CGC copies are rare. There isn't a method of determining print runs that I am aware of. There are sales records, but they don't always paint the whole picture. Copies are destroyed, etc.
  2. Nobody hates you. We just loathe you. Your existence provides us with community comedy, though. You're special. Don't ever change.
  3. With the lack of punctuation, I can't tell if this is a question or not... If you enjoy talking to yourself, then sure!
  4. I tend to mostly agree with CGC's grading methods. Of the few graded comics I have, I 100% agree with the grades given. I would like to personally inspect a 10 Gem Mint someday to see if I agree that it's "perfect". That would be the telling tale for me, whether or not they employ some of the best graders in the country/world.
  5. I don't think the post you responded to is incorrect. If Marvel does the same thing to their alleged 'good' titles, right now, then their "tailspin" IMO will continue. I don't see implications that all of their titles currently stink. I disagree on Thor. I think it sucks right now.
  6. I think that's the point. All of the political BS preventing other titles from being successful.
  7. It looks like someone tried to erase her nose...
  8. The only thing I'm Captain of is the Midwest Dingleberries hockey club.
  9. I feel like he should've saw Natasha, if anyone, because she sacrificed everything to save her family and the universe. I'm glad they cut it altogether, just because of how packed the movie already is, and how ambiguous that Soul Stone connection would be P2P.
  10. 2 franchises in disarray, though. Star Wars losing attention because of the addition of Rian Johnson. Worlds of DC losing attention because of the loss of Zack Snyder. 2017. Bit of a tough year. Even without a Snyder Cut, if they'd just announce some semblance of continuity by keeping Cavill and Miller (by developing Flash), DC could keep its wits. They have a great Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and Shazam. Get Batman and Green Lantern going and there's your foundation. I guess you'd be replacing Martian Manhunter and Cyborg with Shazam. That's a win IMO. With the MCU's magnum opus concluded, Worlds of DC has a huge opportunity to make their move. Build towards the Darkseid War or something.
  11. My dad was into comics and cartoons and movies from the 1970's until about Y2K, and Captain America was an A-list Marvel character the entire time, according to him. He's not very well-versed in non-A-list comic character TBH. Has to always ask me about whoever he doesn't recognize in the modern movies. So there's that.
  12. Completely agreed. During Stan Lee's Golden Gold Age (because, lets be honest, his entire life was gold) there was honor in sending messages with his stories. In today's age of equality, it's just pushing agendas that are better off being sidelined for enjoyable reading. Back in the day, they were creating stories of equality that were the escapes from the shackles of reality. Today, I want that same escape from reality. Echoing the same annoyance of news and social media won't do it for me. It's too real, too boring, and too annoying.
  13. That's not true, man. I would suggest reading up on comics stored in safes, as an example of how a plastic case does nothing to prevent comics from aging and/or chemical reactions. Comics in encapsulation are no more safe than properly bagged-and-boarded.
