  1. Considering how many servers have been blowing up today - I have a feeling that this is going to pass Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all-time. These problems didn't exist this widespread for Infinity War. This is insane.
  2. I'm also considering an Avengers #5... 1st cover with Iron Man. Hulk, Thor, and Cap all on it.
  3. IIRC, Infinity War started selling tickets about a week earlier. I swear I bought my IW tickets at the back-end of March. The theaters in my area are only selling for the 25th, 26th, and 27th right now.
  4. This propaganda is incorrect: "1986-1992 Version: This was the golden era for standard definition releases of the Star Wars films on home video. The analog tape master that was created for this release of Star Wars was never tampered with with any attempt to clean the image, or filter any detail. No new material was added, and there are no digital effects to be seen. An interpositive was scanned, and that’s essentially it. These widescreen masters were created in 1986, and served as the home video masters that were used up until 1993 for Laserdisc releases of the trilogy. They exhibit occasional print wear, with dirt and scratches showing up on screen. This was also the first time that the film was remixed for Dolby Surround, the home video equivalent of Dolby Stereo. Previous releases of the film were in mono sound only, assumed to be created from a stereo sound master used to make 35mm prints of the movies."
  5. It isn't. The 2008 6-disc release contains both the re-edited versions and the original theatrical cuts. Edit: This box set is the only disc release for the original theatrical cuts. The lengths of the 3 "theatrical cut" DVDs is exactly the same as my dad's VHS tapes from the 80's. It has the same crappy non-cylindrical lightsaber edits, original sounds, etc on 3 of the 6 DVDs inside. The other 3 are digitally and audibly remastered with less editing than the 1990's CGI-bloated re-releases.
  6. That's not true. The original trilogy theatrical cuts were released on disc once in 2008. Sealed sets typically go for hundreds, but I found a sealed set at a used bookstore type-place for $25.
  7. Honestly, yes. This looks like at least a 9.6 from those images, to me. I normally suggest not, but I think this is a rare exception.
  8. Oh, I know, but there's some stupid psychology that makes buyers think the "better purchase" is the one with free shipping. I know it makes no sense, but I even find myself constantly subscribing to that way of buying.
  9. I always snicker at these 4-figure listings that don't have "free shipping". Honestly, just factor shipping into your total listing price, and you'll get more serious looks. It's some Dranzer BS that even I subscribe to (and I have no idea why). If you do make the sale I hope all goes well.
  10. About 50 total covers: Action Comics #1000 Complete Cover Checklist
  11. Is it more than Alex Ross' variants? I guess if he was commissioned to do an AC1000 cover - that could've blown up, too. He didn't, though, so we don't have him as a reference point. Everyone screwed the pooch by not having Ross do a single variant for AC1000 IMO.
  12. And none of them were worse than TLJ. Star Wars can only go so low. It's hit rock bottom now (I hope).
  13. Why are people paying out the ___ for these? I don't remember seeing any of the AC1000 variants explode like this? I'll just bide my time until the freak show calms down and pick up the $10 comic at a fair price.
  14. Wasn't this always the case (of him directing and the GoT guys being writers)? I still won't see them if he's directing. I'll never see another movie directed by that nerf herder.
