  1. It didn't earn $1 billion on it's own merit. Nick Fury could've paged Eros/Starfox, who no one outside of comic fans know, and it would've made >$1 billion.
  2. TBH, they just don't really have any huge-name female characters to give solo films to. It's not like fans were clamoring for a Captain Marvel film.
  3. Same. I thought there might be a verified problem. I was taken for a Dranzer.
  4. No thank you. You don't bother me - just your misleading title of this thread.
  5. I don't think that they're going to attempt this because this is supposed to be a "one and done" type of film. Phoenix isn't interested in reprising his role in any future films (that's why he turned down Doctor Strange - among other MCU roles offered). We won't know until October, though. Joker is an iconic villain. IMO it can't be a Joker movie if it isn't true to the character.
  6. 1. You don't know me. I would suggest not making such a pretentious assumption. 2. You can.
  7. On the flip side - they used Vancouver as the inspiration and shooting area for Metropolis. A tale of 2 cities. At the time, Detroit was a Hel hole (kinda still is) and Vancouver is one of the nicest cities in the world.
  8. You didn't pose a proper question. That's why a 3-year old understands it. It's a misleading title. I didn't say that the misleading title isn't a question.
  9. There's no evidence that they lost anything. It's still misleading. Unless you think "in the mix of a million other boxes and isn't directly accessible ATM" as lost. I would disagree with your definition of lost, in that case.
  10. They used Detroit as an inspiration for Gotham, so... Detroit has a s^&*-ton of abandoned warehouse areas similar to the Gotham Port.
  11. How the hell did you win the grading contest with this type of opinion...
  12. My guess is they're saving that for the next trailer or two. Don't wanna give up too much too son.
  13. I already said that it's not a perfect movie. It's still a great movie, for those who love the sources that the narratives where derived from. Man of Steel - destroys major city - fans cry about it. Dawn of Justice - destroys mostly abandoned property - fans cry about. There's seriously no pleasing some people.
  14. If you've read The Dark Knight Returns, and liked it, then I would've expected you to like Dawn of Justice. Obviously it's loosely adapted, but none the less, still the same overall character. If you didn't read TDKR and/or didn't like it - then there's no way this movie can please you. Not every movie is made for every person. This movie caters to a specific crowd, and I find, that crowd loves it.
  15. Well, it was made circa 2014-2016. Modern times call for modern adaptations. People already can't empathize with Superman. Snyder made him more human and realistic. It works for me. And that Batman is the very definition of The Dark Knight Returns.
  16. I doubt that very much, only because no one knew how the Ledger Joker would turn out, and I think most people would expect Phoenix to pull this role off well.
  17. Let's be honest though, if Fury didn't page her in Infinity War, I would doubt that this hits the $1 billion mark on it's individual merit. It's not a particularly great standalone film - let alone tie-in.
  18. My older brother: "Looks terrible. Like a cash grab for comic book crowd." I told him that I like comic book movies made for comic book people. Win-win for me.
  19. I ate a large lunch and am this -> | | close to falling into a food coma.
  20. I don't even care anymore. Just thought I'd let you know.
