This weekend I got my first Neg in two years.
I must have been asleep while grading a >$5 book and listed it wrong (mistakes happen when grading comics between 4:00 - 5:00 am with one eye on the baby monitor). I never dispute differences in grading opinions, I automatically accept the return. I just get bummed when I get a Neg-first buyer who doesn't even try to return or work something out. I would have sent a replacement free, or refunded, or something. This was an easy fix. Now I have to use the reply to the Neg as an advertisement to future buyers that I accept returns if unsatisfied. Only other Neg was worked out with refund on a >$20 book.
Not dishing out on the buyer, just bummed.
That sucks.
I've only ever left negative feedback prior to contacting the seller if it was a big mistake on a small order. For example, I bought 2 copies of a single card on TCGplayer, and the seller only shipped 1... Had the order been 10+ different cards, like I usually order, a small screw-up isn't a big deal. If you screw up a quantity on 1 card, that's really crappy business IMO.
Subjective grading is something that, as a buyer, I couldn't hold against the seller unless you're saying it's a 9.0 and it looks like a 1.0. Even then, I personally have no idea how to grade books yet... Hopefully the buyer gives you a chance to rectify this small potato.

I have to agree that, when it comes to high-priced hobby items, dealing outside of eBay and within communities offer better experiences.

I'm all for Hall of Shame users being banned until/if they get paroled.
Maybe Probation users can't post in Buy/Sell threads and can't PM while on the list? Something less severe.

Yeah, Hulk isn't necessarily scared of Thanos, but he's sick of just fighting for Banner. Avengers: End Game (or whatever it might be called) is going to finish this 3-story arc (that started in Ragnarok) between Banner and The Hulk. Professor Hulk is expected to make his appearance in the next one.
I, for one, was more surprised than disappointed in the lack of Hulk. I was kinda expecting Hulk to tear the Black Order apart after being embarrassed by Thanos on the Asgardian refugee vessel. It was nice to see Banner actually do something other than get mad and turn green.

Well no. Not really. I have two cats as well and have never had any issues
I'm not interested in arguing. If you're seriously going to sit there and say that a bagged and boarded comic is equally as safe as a CGC-graded comic, then we have no business having a conversation. Good day.

If you have animals in the house they are not necessarily 'safer' in the open just because they are slabbed.
As opposed to just being bagged and boarded, they are...

Yes, they made a documentary about these people, it's called "The 40 Year-Old Virgin".
This is a pretty crappy attempt of an insult from a n00b.

You can do that with a mylar and an acid free board. There seems to be this bizarre idea that in order to preserve the history, you need to entomb the comic.
It's safer in a hard plastic case, though. For a lot of people, it's not just a piece of history, but also an investment. I have 2 cats, so you can bet that there is no way I'm displaying any comics in just board and mylar at my place lol.

I am confused as to why anyone would keep a comic sealed up in a slab, makes no sense to me at all. What's the point of owning it if you can't read it and touch it and look at it? This obsession with a made up grading scale number and never looking at a comic you buy is bizarre to me, I can't wrap my head around it at all. Do people that keep comics slabbed also have records they never play and shelves full of books they never read? I can understand buying a graded slabbed comic of it's expensive and rare to make sure you aren't being ripped off, but keeping it sealed up after owning it I will never understand. Sure you can look at the cover, but what the heck does anyone do with it beyond that? So it just sits in a box and will never be looked at? Why even have it? To each their own, it's just really strange to me.
I have a lot of "more readable" versions of books that I've collected. The Dark Knight Returns anniversary hardcover, The Death of Superman omnibus hardcover, Marvel Famous Firsts slipcase, Civil War crossover slipcase, etc.
Most of my collection will be Signature Series stuff on display, and a readable copy on a bookshelf or in a cabinet.
I think that most people want to preserve the history of stuff from the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Ages. It makes sense to me.

I once bought a Jace, the Mind Sculptor (Magic: the Gathering Card) for $70 a couple of years ago. The seller messaged me a day after shipping, "another buyer claims they received a fake card", and to let him know if any problems arise.
Well, lo and behold, I receive a fake card. I message the buyer and receive no response for 3 days. I leave negative feedback and let eBay know the seller was contacted.
The seller tried to leave negative feedback, but because of my immediate payment and contact, he couldn't leave less than 5 stars. The comment was: "Buyer is a loser. Needs to get a life. Just a card." Lol.
Because of that experience, I don't always avoid all buyers and sellers who may have negative feedback. There are jabronis out there with no shame, who want the other person to suffer, for their own misdoings.

If they're all printed 1975 and later, then the Modern Tier is your best option, if I'm not mistaken. I'm in the same boat of not having submitted any books myself, yet.
-
Re-holder Tier is for comic books that have already been graded. They may be in an older-generation case, or the case may be damaged, and you want the comic book to receive a new CGC slab.

IMO you have to both look like a duck, and quack like a duck, to be a duck. Looks like I'm not in the majority, though.

Captain Marvel is about 6 months away, which is around the time Marvel Studios releases the Teaser Trailer/Trailer #1, ever since Age of Ultron.

Holy , there are some seriously talented people in this thread.
I used to be great at drawing until high school, when the Art-Drawing teacher didn't help me develop my comic-type drawing talents. She seriously ended my motivation to be a comic book artist (or any career involving drawing).
Back on topic: Keep 'em coming!

Shouldn't this thread be renamed to "Spider-Man: Far From Home"?

The Last Jedi was the worst movie that I've ever payed money to see.
It's up there with Punisher: War Zone, which I didn't get past the first 10 minutes, because of how bad it is.
Edit: As far as Episode IX is concerned, JJ Abrams is directing, and Mark Hamill is considering appearing (despite previously saying that he's done with Star Wars). There is faith...

I forget where it was said or by whom (an interview with the writers, Markus/McFeely, I think), but they explained away the double gauntlets by saying that the one in Odin's vault was a fake. There's a scene in Thor: Ragnarok where Hela's walking through the vault and she knocks it over and calls it fake. The only real gauntlet is the one Thanos has, and he got it from the dwarves.
This.
For whatever reason, every "critic"*** thinks they find a problem with continuity regarding the Infinity Gauntlet in the MCU and Thanos' timing in actually "doing it himself". Obviously, Thanos has been eyeing all 6 Infinity Stones for at least a decade. Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet created after the events of Thor: The Dark World because of Odin's absence from Asgard. With Loki in charge and Heimdall being "negligent of duty", no one was protecting Nidavellir. He also had to wait for Odin's death, and the absence of the Odinforce (or Asgard's demise), to re-acquire the Tesseract. Odin, Thor, and Loki would have defeated Thanos in any attempt otherwise.
***I'm not calling you a critic, or calling you out, I'm just sick of seeing millions of articles with the same incorrect sentiments.

I liked Ant-Man and the Wasp a little more than the first one. Peyton Reed did a great job in regards to pace for both films.
Loved the mid-credit scene. Exactly what I wanted to happen.

Great movie. A 5/5 for me.
The only thing that I didn't like was the death of Klaue. I wanted to see more of him in a Black Panther sequel.
