  1. You forgot 'in my opinion' as unless you are getting talking point directly from Disney, yours is just that versus knowing better than others. Know the difference. It's a healthier mindset. In my very confident opinion. The same thing occured in WandaVision when every fanperson in the world was screaming "Professor X and Reed Richards are going to show up!" when the filmmakers thankfully know better (even though they obviously were purposely trolling bloodthirsty fans) and didn't include characters that would pull the focus away from the real stars of the show, Wanda and Vision. They even removed Dr Strange from the final --script because of the possibility of taking away Wanda's thunder. They're not going to make that mistake either with Eternals. This is the Eternals' show and they're not just some stop gap prequel to set up the fan favorite X-Men. The Eternals are going to matter. I do think Professor X might be the first mutant we meet in the MCU but I really don't think it's going to be in Eternals.
  2. No, the 4 logo is most definitely Fantastic Four, and was confirmed in person by Kevin Feige himself. Captain America 4 has not been officially confirmed by Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios with a logo.
  3. Professor X isn’t going to show up at the end of Eternals to steal their spotlight. Eternals is going to be about Eternals. Some folks seem to think Eternals is nothing but a prequel for mutants. I could see a Black Knight set up in the end credits maybe.
  4. I think it will be a long time off. Later part of this decade maybe. And why rush it? I think we see a Wolverine project first. I also think that first logo when we all see it is not going to be “X-Men” but some other derivative of X like “World of X” or something. I think Disney is serious about the “Men” in X-Men thing and with a cinematic do-over of the mutants they have a chance to “fix” it.
  5. At 5'5", he's the right height, but at a general weight of 115-120 lbs, he's just not in Wolverine's weight class. Sorry.
  6. I could see Daniel Radcliffe in the MCU one day and I could see him as Charles Xavier. But seriously pushing him as Wolverine is borderline trolling.
  7. So if GOTG Vol 3 release date is May 5, 2023, and the 4 logo came right after Guardians, I think we can assume the MCU Fantastic Four film will be released late summer 2023. July 4th 2023, maybe?
  8. Yes, I know, he was brought in to X-Men not only for knowing his way around a production office, but also for his comic book knowledge. That was important. In the end, though, Feige didn't have the final creative word over those early Marvel movies. Final creative control was left to Donner and Kinberg as the main Producers, and Bryan Singer as director.
  9. For all the films listed below Iron Man, Kevin Feige was not technically Producer, again meaning he didn't have creative control. The credited Producer with creative control over the Fox Fantastic Four films was Simon Kinberg. The credited Producers with creative control on the Raimi Spiderman movies were Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin. The credited Producer with creative control over the Daredevil and Elektra movies was, again, Avi Arad. The Producer credit for Kevin Feige after Iron Man in this list is important, that's the first movie where he had creative control over the project. I should start getting paid around here for all the schooling I do on a weekly basis.
  10. Technically, Kevin Feige was Associate Producer on the Fox X-Men films and Raimi Spider-Man film(s). Associate Producer is a far cry from being Producer or Executive Producer. It means you have far less creative control over the project. Feige's main purpose on X-Men was actually comics consultant. The Fox X-Universe was very much controlled creatively by Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinsberg. Kevin Feige didn't become a full-on Producer with creative control over the project until he was given control of Marvel Studios and made Iron Man.
  11. Logan isn't dead in the MCU. Logan is dead in a far-off apocalyptic future over in the Foxverse. Logan has yet to be introduced in the Feigeverse.
  12. Oscar-Nominated Sean Bobbitt Boards ‘Captain Marvel 2’ The ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ cinematographer is excited to join the project yet nervous to work on a film that relies heavily on CGI.
  13. The "word" from inside Marvel is that the Disney execs are blown away by Eternals and are in disbelief at the quality film that they have on their hands. The director did just sweep the Oscars. We'll see. As to the story, I've seen two leaks that are very different from each other but also both supposed to be legit. I'm ignoring all other leaks until the movie comes out. The only thing I'm taking to heart is Kevin Feige's recent statement that Sersi is the lead of the film which makes me very happy as I'm moderately invested in Sersi key books.
  14. From rumors and leaks, part of that interest will be the human interest of these Eternals as they live and love amongst humankind. Sersi is apparently a college professor and is dating some human guy called Dane Whitman, Kingo Sunen is apparently a Bollywood actor, and Phastos I believe is an engineer and also gay and has his own family with a human.
  15. Right. And I also think Bryan Singer was confused between a wolf and a wolverine. Hugh Jackman was more of a lone wolf. Singer even has Logan bond with a wolf in X2. Wolverines are (relatively) large weasels, not canines.
  16. Agree. Out of the hundreds of actors vying for this part, somebody worthy has to be 5'7" or less. Logan is supposed to be shorter, but you can cheat it. A buddy of mine who was very very short and a comics Wolverine worshipper was always offended that Wolverine in the movies was this tall dashing guy, Hugh Jackman. Although, I loved Jackman's Wolverine like everybody else, I always felt bad for my friend. Very short folks need representation, too.
  17. In the comics, Eternals aren't gods. They are humans evolved by the Celestials to fight their other creations, the mutated Deviants. By default, the Deviants are supposed to be the bad guys. But they aren't always that. Thena has a forbidden love affair with the Deviant Kro. Eternals allies Karnak and Ransak are themselves Deviants. Often times in the comics, the threat to the Eternals or to their interests came from one of their own. In the original Kirby series, the ultimate threat to the Eternals ended up being Druig, an Eternal and played in the movie by Barry Keoghan. Celestials have also at times been a threat. Celestials are supposed to be in the film, but whether as a flashback or in the present is unknown. "How can you tell a compelling story within the MCU with these godlike characters?" First, they did it with Thor. Second, what I always found so interesting about the Eternals, or at least some of them, like Sersi, is that they live amongst us. Of all of them, Sersi loves life amongst normal humans the most. I'm sure that's what will be the case in this film, that they live amongst us like everyday people. Think Highlander, maybe. In the Neil Gaiman Eternals series, they have no memory that they are Eternals but are then awakened from their amnesia.
