  1. Here are more complications:

Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars #2 Bachalo Variant (front cover gwenpool app)

Marvel previews 95 (front cover new spiderman app)

Gobbledygook 1 & 2 (back cover turtles app)

All are pretty pricey so it looks as the market assigns value to a first published appearance of a character.  What these are labeled as (first appearance, etc) is up for debate.

  2. So do all copies of Cerebus #1 go before Dave Sim before CGC will determine if the copy is a genuine or fake?  Then exactly what are we paying CGC for?  A label and slab but not authenticity?  Millions of copies of book have been slabbed without going in front of the creators for authenticity.  What about a TMNT #1 which has known fakes?  Does Kevin have to determine these also?  So when it is "easy" you can determine a books authenticity but when it is "hard" you cannot?  A gobbledygook is a photo copy of the original drawn art.  A fake gobbledygook therefore is a copy of a copy.  So you are telling all of us that you will authenticate million dollar books but you can't tell a copy of a copy?!?  You need Kevin Eastman to do this?  I'm pretty sure most people can tell a copy of a copy or maybe Kevin is the designated expert of spotting a copy of a copy vs a copy of an original.  Sheesh...I've heard it all now.

Here is what is on your main web page:  "Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) revolutionized the comic book marketplace when it was founded in 2000 by providing clear, objective and impartial assessments of authenticity and grade."
