  1. Why would Dekeuk be put on the hall of shame? What did he do? From memory... * selling vastly overgraded comics and when called out on it, saying he made a mistake and that he posted his "eBay grades" and not his "board grades". *Spamming half the boards with "dubious investment opportunities" *Trying to sell stupid- comic posters which he first claims were from the 70's...then after being told numerous times they were not, claiming he doesn't really know from which era they are, but that he thinks it's the 70's...relisting and relisting them, still giving false info until a board sleuth found the eBay auction where he bought them...as posters from the 1990's And my favourite ones (for which he doesn't merit the '"list" just a swift kick in the gonads) : *Spamming the Clink new arrivals list by deleting and then relisting his same overpriced every other day. nicely done
  2. there's life after 100 pagers. a strange life, it seems, but a life nonetheless.
  3. It was the Toth copy. After factoring in Pedigree's seller commissions, did the seller even break even? did if the seller was doug
  4. for those of us who gave up on this thread 50 pages ago- where can i find this exchange?
  5. and because there's a JLA #3 9.4 in heritage's may auction
  6. i have to finish getting outbid on the books in pedigree's auction before i can focus on getting outbid on these.
  7. the purportedly hot #18 in 9.4 went for 40% less than it did last summer.
  8. PUNISHMENT BIDS ALERT! probably unnecessary. isn't going cheap.
  9. This will go down in the history books. He would've done equally as well if he burned the money Says the guy who sells ultra high grade niche books. Exactly! I sell them, not collect them. Anything that touches my hands now is purely to flip and make a quick buck before the bubble bursts in everyones face. honesty
  10. me too. but sounds like i'm going to get boned by a no-show consignor.
  11. Also, first Green Lanter movie...so no surprise. and you've got 5000 posts in the thread
  12. 0 for 4. only underbidder on one. prices seemed fairly strong for the most part. the #78 must've been pressable. wacko price for that 9.4
  13. a cheer heard from HK as the smushed MC #4 9.2 sells for less as a 9.4
  14. The comic society just HATES TRIMMED comics...maybe that will change someday. Again, that is a great looking book that won't break the bank. I don't mind disclosed trimming one bit. I'd rather have a book with a little trim than a book with a large piece added. (thumbs u are you talking about comics here?
  15. who exactly is pressing moderns to achieve 9.8's?
  16. bid history showed 3 bidders- all with fewer than 20 feedback
  17. The winner of this is one of the bidders who pushed my 9.8 way up there. I guess he really wanted a first print. they are rare in that grade. what are there 10x as many 9.8's or higher than 9.6's?
  18. It's real. I was paid today. Talk about the right place at the right time. Anyway, back to the Duder. congrats. amen to those who aren't smart enough to subscribe to GPA. looks like 3 noobs w/ more $ than sense.
  19. I like this one. sexual innuendo cover? ok, maybe not.
  20. i see the mound city #4 got pancaked into a 9.4. was fugly before. still just as fugly w/a different # on top now http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fsearch%2Easp%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dgreen%2Blantern%2B%26x%3D14%26y%3D14%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F837797&id=837797
