I was looking through some old posts today and noticed Showcase-4 name on one of the posts. Whatever happened to him? He hasn't posted since October of last year.

Well It's been a week, so my thoughts on the most recent CL results before the next auction comes around:
The equality in price between the #8-9.0 & #11-9.4 means the gap separating the first 10 issues from the rest is widening.
I'm not surprised the 9.6 #46 only went for 35% more than the 9.4 (it had better registry/eye appeal)
9.8 is the new 9.6
Being the under-bidder on six $600-$2600 books means the JLA market is still healthy & in no need -yet- of a correction. I also need to re-think my $$$ ceiling.
Over-all, steady as she goes. dang it.

What I was shocked at is how much the JLA 9.0 went for:
$1155 wow.
I bought a copy with white pages off EBAY a month or so back for $350.
Phewee! What an increase....
Wow, even if it can be pressed up to a 9.2, that's not a good deal.
old label + a squish + preview night = possible 9.4? only way that price be a good deal

It will be interesting to see if the Rocky Mountain Collection GL run that Clink has scheduled for the March auction can hit the same type of highs that the Marvel books did last year in light of the current market.
How far back do they go?
#15; and there isn't a 9.4 listed until #34. that run is ho hum at best.

i didn't buy the #19. only JLA i picked up was the PC #46. i had offered $700 for it when it was on CC, so i was happy to nab it for $600.

Fantastic books with great colors...looks like your grading skills were very much in order back in the day.
thanks. of course the game has changed a bit these days (as bob siman eloquently stated) and it's not a game i'm familiar with or eager to play.

congrats. amen to those who aren't smart enough to subscribe to GPA. looks like 3 noobs w/ more $ than sense.
