  1. Got a few books to see if the board is interested before moving to my eBay store. Here are my rules… in thread wins over any PMs or negotiations. also trumps the rare event where an agreement has been made but someone else just so happens to post “I’ll take it!” on the thread before I mark the book as sold. So if you really want the book, don’t be cheap and use . No Probation or HOS. I also reserve the right not to sell to anyone who I feel is going to complicate the transaction. Shipping: Domestic shipping within the U.S. will be a flat rate $15 via USPS Priority Mail for CGC slabs. Raw books will be a flat rate $8. Please inquire for shipping rates if this needs to be shipped international. Payment: PayPal, check and money order payments are accepted. Checks will need to be cleared first before the books will be shipped. Returns: Satisfaction guaranteed. I accept returns within 7 days after it has been delivered. Item has to be in original condition as it was sent and buyer will cover return expenses. References: Here is my Ebay feedback profile if anyone needs some references. https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/boots_1000 Kudos: Although a bit old but my kudos thread can be found here. Please don’t hesitate to add to it once you complete a transaction with me and are happy with the results. I will be sure to do the same for you. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=85&Number=6791343&Searchpage=1&Main=302506&Words=escaflown4&topic=0&Search=true#Post6791343 Thanks for looking - Stan
  2. Originally everyone thought it was Gambit but it was revealed in issue 350 that he only worked with the Marauders during the Morlock massacre. The real traitor Bishop was hunting was actually himself. If you read the Messiah Wars, it was revealed that Bishop became totally obsessed with hunting down and trying to kill Hope Summers. When he chased Cable and Hope into the future he inadvertently started slaughtering all Xmen that tried to help them. That led back to the flashback of Jean Grey making that last video transmission about a traitor amongst them which the present time Bishop was trying to investigate.
  3. I did leave a negative feedback but they got it removed within minutes. I contacted eBay to see how this was possible and they told me as long as the seller provides any type of partial or full refund, any negative feedbacks can be removed upon request. That's interesting to know. Given how efficient they're playing this game, I suspect I'm not the only one NeatStuff has done this to. In any case, I did speak with someone from their fraud investigations department and said they will be investigating after I gave them all of the evidence. However, I was also told that they can't share any results of the investigation with me.
  4. I'm not sure if this should fall under this thread but I'll share it anyways. I'll just present the facts without any sugarcoating and let you all decide on their ethics. Recently I had a bad return experience with NeatStuff Collectibles which I'm sure most folks are familiar with since they are a large reseller that have been around for a long time. I have never done business with them prior to this incident as they tend to sell in large bulk collections. It was when I decided to go after the Warren's Vampirella run this year that I decided to pull the trigger on the following Vampirella lot. I figure this would help jumpstart my collection. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vampirella-4-108-Partial-Run-Lot-of-67-Frank-Frazetta-Jeff-Jones-Avg-FN-6-5/363152529803?hash=item548d93d98b:g:ikYAAOSwK~Nfk1Ns Now I have to say the books were shipped fast and packed well so I have no problems here and even commend them for this. However, the books itself had too many problems that were not disclosed / shown in the pictures from damages caused by insects feasting on them, holes / tears on the covers and water stain marks inside. I get that they sell in large volume and they probably don't have the time / manpower to go through each book but I ended up deciding to return to them. Everything was going smoothly until they received the books back. This is the part where I had to get eBay involved. 1) They only acknowledged a part of the problem, but denied the rest. Ok whatever let's move on. 2) They claimed the books came back "worse for wear". So in other words, they said the books came back damaged or altered which I find interesting as I packed it back up the exact same way as they had it shipped to me. For this reason, they docked me $98.52 and with taxes, it came out to $104.43. Now I very rarely ever return items for refund, but this didn't sit well with me. The case was escalated to eBay where they reimbursed me the difference out of their own pockets. They relisted the books a few weeks later with the EXACT SAME description. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vampirella-4-108-Partial-Run-Lot-of-67-Frank-Frazetta-Jeff-Jones-Avg-FN-6-5-/313306100119?hash=item48f27fb197%3Ag%3AikYAAOSwK~Nfk1Ns&nma=true&si=Tt4RSsvrKOsud9jOtGH%2F5RKL%2FEs%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Wait! Where is this "worse for wear" damage that they claimed happened?! There's absolutely no mention of it and neither did they mention any of the defects of the books that was brought to their attention. At this point, it is clear without a shadow of doubt that they lied to keep a part of my refund which eBay had to reimburse out of their own pockets. I'm not sure how everyone else feels, but this is a very shady profiteering practice on how they handle returns even though this is coming out of eBay's expense. This will be my first and last time dealing with them but I just wanted to air this out.
  5. Just wanted to give everyone an update on this. Seller admitted to the mistake and sent me the correct book after shipping the 9.6 back to him. We are good to go at this point.
  6. Those 0.2 makes a ton of difference in value. I am hoping this is an honest mistake on the seller's end, but I'll let y'all know if he puts up any resistance.
  7. Anyone ever dealt with wolverine5353brian? I won his Marvel Comics Presents #6 2nd Print CGC 9.8. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-COMICS-PRESENTS-6-CGC-9-8-2ND-PRINT-1ST-WOLVERINES-DAUGHTER-1-25-VARIANT/203182575790?hash=item2f4ea010ae:g:XCYAAOSwEVdfscMH This is what I received today. I'm currently waiting for his response.
  8. Finally got to speak with a live customer support agent to get the negative feedback removed. A lesson learned during this process should anyone else have go through the same hassle is to get a live agent on the phone. Do not go through the chat support as they have been been virtually useless. Spoke to two different chat agents who gave me false information on how they can't do anything to remove feedback or until the return case is closed out. I persisted to get a live agent on the phone and finally someone called back and it was literally resolved in five minutes after he read through the evidence which was blatant feedback extortion.
  9. Unless someone can correct me, I don't think there's a way to see who's actually get blocked by your auctions unless they personally message you asking why they are blocked. I have had one or two ask me in all my years selling and I usually just direct them to this board to find out why.
  10. From what I have seen, it doesn't matter if you put a grade or not. If someone is really out for a partial refund, they will find every excuse in the book to make their case. What sucks is that eBay automatically sides with them until you can plead your case and have someone look through your evidence. What makes this even more difficult is trying to get someone to talk to during this pandemic as their customer service is the worst I've seen to date.
  11. Hey guys, beware of this buyer here. aetherock He purchased a Black Panther #2 from me and sends me a message nitpicking about the condition of the book and requesting an outrageous partial refund. I refused and asked him politely to ship the book back for a full refund. He was not happy and threatened to leave negative feedback. The book did get shipped back today and he left negative feedback. Now I need to call eBay to get this feedback removed since all of this was captured on their message system. Add this guy to your block list if you want to avoid the headaches!
  12. Just got this set in not long ago. Anyone ever signed up to be a member of the Scarlet Legion Fan Club? I remember seeing the advertisements back when I collected Vampirella in the late 90's but never signed up for it. Looks like you get some pretty nice goodies. Kinda wished I signed up back then. Looks like this set was given out during the Miller run.
  13. Sold an Amazing Spider-Man #4 Ramos Variant CGC 9.8 to Alain. Fast payment and great transaction! A+
  14. Prices have been lowered! If no one bites, they will be moving to my eBay store over this coming weekend!
  15. This is definitely not an overhang. Base on the seller's pictures, it did not show any signs of shifting, which leads me to believe this SCS had to occur during shipping. Since the book was purchased through eBay, I am not aware if it has been pressed before. I haven't had a SCS in a long while and I thought CGC had addressed the issue with their inner well design when it used to happen more frequently. The lower staple looks like it got pulled in slightly. Question is who would you approach for a resolution, CGC or the original seller?
  16. So this book just arrived recently in the mail. It looks like the outside cover shifted slightly from the inside pages in the inner well of the slab which is visible along the top border of the book. So my questions are... 1) Has anyone else experienced this before? 2) Is the book still considered a 9.8? 3) For those that experienced this, what did you do to resolve it? Was the book sent back to the seller? Was it brought up to CGC for a resolution? Was the book kept "as is"?
