    Good idea!

Quick question for anyone 'in the know' -
Would this method be valid for CIS appraisal estimates on rarely sold comics?
I ask because CIS recommends Comic Connect, but I have emailed CC multiple times with my hard to figure out appraisal list of 5 items with no responses.

You’d have to ask them but I bet it wouldn’t fly due to the possibility of gaming the system.

The Over the Garden Wall cartoon was great and is Autumn perfection. That seems to have really translated into people wanting more content since it was only a limited series show. I know the early TPBs go for good money.

Yeah the first miniseries is worth good money.  That retailer incentive isn’t bad. There is a limited edition art book out there’s that’s worth about $1000 and the regular edition is about $200 I think.  The second series I picked up most covers A & B but isn’t worth a whole lot.  It did make me watch the trailer and I’ll probably watch the series with my older kid.

I'm glad to see that motor girl get some love. I remember upon release there were options for signature series that I opted out of, but it was early when I got back in and I remember people speaking good things about it :)

I like Terry Moore but I haven’t looked at that one yet.  He had some more of them I could pick up but I don’t know if I’ll get around to looking at those.

  4. I think this is the last of it.  These were $2 each for the bagged books and $1 for the unbagged.

These were around 10% off.  Worked out on the 2nd print Power Rangers 9, around $70 book.  Happy to have 300 I’ve been meaning to pick it up for a while.

These were all 25% off.  The first Lobo appeared to be perfect when I was there but then when I got home saw a flaw on the bottom left corner so probably not higher than 9.4 too bad I was in a hurry.

I should send it to CCS first for a quick press.  See if they notice the staples before putting it in the press.:insane:

CGC is trying to churn through so many comics and cards now, they won’t notice anything.

Ah I get it now, I should have posted my 1st post in response to @Beyonder123 as a question.

I took it as a double cover grade at first, but that isn't specifically stated either so it is confusing until we see results. No worries.

I took it as they'd grade the acetate, grade the book, and come up with a label, but that to me has always even terminology for double covers. I'd tag cgc Mike, but lol

Either it's not clear or wait and see?  :shy:

Since it should be a given that they grade the interior of the book in addition to the cover I took this part of the new guidance as a way of alluding to the inflated grades without actually mentioning it and to try to give a plausible explanation, like we didn’t pay enough attention to the interior of the book.

    but now I don’t know.

  7. This one appears to be made from the omnibus or Milestone edition.  I think the best way here is the dot matrix printing of old Vs what you see there.  Also the interior cover appears to be from a copy of the actual comic which has faded and uneven ink while presumably the rest of the comic doesn’t.

My Mom had dementia and was swindled for more than $10k so I hate even the idea of these things.

  8. I see they located the staples way off the fold too.  If someone went to a lot of trouble they could replace the staples or just move them to the right place but the holes should still be there.524319A2-C163-48B8-B9AE-29160A28F790.thumb.png.dfe20dd478dd43f269228b3e2c9e0fab.png79CD6305-DFAB-4688-985D-73D5B45909C3.thumb.png.5fab81e6ca963486922045c0e615f8e8.png
