There is a precedent to this. What happened to overall valuations of comic books in late 2008 early 2009 when the stock market & economy was on life support? ASM books of all ages for example were flying high at the time. They have come down since are now experiencing a bit of another upswing. Maybe the 2008 high was due to the movie? Don't know. But there is already a precedent as I stated.

Just curious how often do you have to plug in your dehumidifier to dry it out? I only used mine (Eva dry-333) around 11 days before beads turned green & I had to plug them in.

Of course there's always the possibility placing the safe in a closet & building a casing around it with a locked door built in the casing. Painting it black. It wouldn't be spotted right away + has another lock on it. Hooray for the handyman!

I've negotiated plenty of books on eBay to market range. It's not easy & majority of time reasonable offers are declined due to sellers fee & PayPal fees. Same with other sites though less so since their inventory are typically less. How do I know whom I'm dealing with on this site? It could be anyone blowing smoke up my a#s. Yes PayPal has buyer protections but I'd rather avoid the hassle.

Yes I've thought about that but am not too thrilled about doing business through a message board. Even if it's on PayPal. The non eBays have buyer's fees or are just as ridiculously priced, lousy customer service and almost never have what I'm looking for. Limited payment methods. And they take a month to ship your book

Yes, it's a cgc graded 9.8 white newsstand. GPA should break down the sales data to show these differences!

What books on eBay/most other sites that are the least bit worthwhile are not absurdly priced?

I'm trying to decide on an unsigned newsstand edition. Trying to gauge how rare they are in that high of a grade. A signed one would be way above my range right now

Im also in the market for ASM 300. How rare would a 9.8 white newsstand edition be? Trying to decide if it's worth going well above market range for one? Going back & fourth on going for an unsigned version. I wish there was a way to track sales of graded newsstand issues.

Hey everyone my name is Martin & I live in a Miami suburb called Kendall. Obviously I've been posting here for awhile before introducing myself. Apologies for not finding this thread before now. I started getting into comics in 1990 when I was really young. It continued for several years till high school came along. After a looooong layoff I am back now with an insatiable vengeance wanting to make up for lost time!!! I don't do it to profit or financial gain. Primarily I just love the books, characters & stories! I'm new to the comic grading world but familiarizing myself everyday. My primary interest are silver/bronze age ASM, Hulk, X-Men, Wolverine & obviously the V-man (looking forward to the movie next year). Comic related souvenirs/wall decor etc. I'm a sucker for anything related to spideys black costume! Only book I ever sold was a good condition Iron man #5 in 2000 & regret it everyday since! Infact the first thing I looked for & bought when getting back in was that exact book in 9.0 CGC white pages. Well there's my introduction. Hope to continue interactions with fellow comic lovers here!
