  1. Thanks. I bought it already graded. I wish I had more information on the date stamp! The stamp ink still appears fresh. It was quite a selling point, at least for me.
  2. Nah, somebody recently posted a well centered #181 9.8 in another thread. Pretty much blows everyone away!
  3. Woooaaah Nelly!!!!!!!! Yessirrrrrrrr!!!!!! Time stamp included!??? ??? ???
  4. Just discovered this thread. Here's my 2 cents even though I posted a couple of pics before. This one has better lighting.
  5. Ok thank you. I have several older slabs that are not loose on any side & all of the newer ones are all tight on each side. Forgive the confusion. It seemed like it was a defect
  6. I have a few slabbed books in which one or two of the sides are a bit loose/not fully sealed. Meaning that if I press the slab on the loose side the top & bottom come together & then separate a bit when letting go. How big of a problem would this be? I want to have them re slabbed but I wonder if it might cause a downgrade? What say the board?
  7. Thanks a million for this information! This is a super important thread! I just bought these for a smallish fire proof safe even though it came with 3 silica bags. I think I'll only use 1 dehumidifier though. Thanks again https://www.amazon.com/Eva-dry-333-Renewable-Dehumidifier-2-PACK/dp/B00LVN7BM0/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=ya_st_dp_summary
  8. Are they supposed to provide any extra protection for the books in regards to moisture in storage?
  9. What about the ventilation or lack of?
  10. Yes the mylar bags with the seal in back are the best. They're barely noticeable when taking pictures of the books
  11. What about keeping them in a safe? I suppose the lack of ventilation would be an issue?
  12. Yes but on their websites the payment options are limited for higher end books. Some sites charge a buyer's fee. They also take for ever to process & ship your orders
  13. A couple of Venoms for y'all. 316 is like a smidge away from a 9.9 The back cover is from 316
  14. I posted some new additions in the "bronze age" thread before discovering this one. Curious if I have bronze books which one of these threads would reach more eyes?
  15. Nice book. What do you think the grade would be if you sent it out?
  16. Thank you sir! Lighting might be a bit better on this one
  17. Recently there was a sale of ASM #86 on eBay that was part of a 3 book group sale. If you look up ASM 86 on GPA you'll see the last sale for a really high price. This was the price for all 3 books not just #86. Is this normal for GPA?
  18. Thank you sir! I saw a 9.8 white version being auctioned for a decent price on eBay but it was even more off center than the example I posted. There's also another one same grade white higher priced that has white border still present but much better aligned (not perfect though). Here's the picture of the higher price one below. What's your opinion on where I should go?
  19. I noticed the left side of the front cover varies a bit from copy to copy. There's a misaligned white border on some, an aligned white border on some & no white border on others. I'llpost 2 examples of the white borders. The top one is very slightly misaligned & bottom one is aligned. There are other comparisons that are more stark. Would this small difference be important?
