  1. You gotta be kidding me with this guy ! Did you see the photos for his other listings? I can't see them without some sort of super magnify mode on my phone. One of them was taken next to his "dri-fit" sock! Dude's a joke!
  2. Wouldn't the buyer be protected if it turns out to be a reprint or something other than the item pictured or described?
  3. I'll give em a call tomorrow to make sure. I don't believe they list HA though
  4. Would you happen to know if GPA lists sales from comiclink? I know they list comicconnect sales but it takes a while for them to show up.
  5. This one seems to be in fashion. Seen it several times on this thread lately
  6. Agreed! Noticed it didn't move off of 380 for a long time. Maybe people caught wind of it?
  7. Nah man, since it's from 2008 when he could still see it was Stan's way of FU-ing the community of sketch & signature profiteers
  8. Really? You'd think that window bags were designed specifically for Stan Lee. Having him sign an important book today without one would amount to a suicide mission!
  9. It's really a very nice city with the best weather but just like with any other large metro crimes are committed. Even in a suburb like mine. No such thing as too much security for your prized collectibles!
  10. I'm so into vintage stuff that collecting books never gets old. I'm just fascinated by a vintage book in pristine condition! The thing that does get on my nerves is the challenge of having to secure them all. Buying a safe or safes/drilling them down/concealing the safes with plywood. Alarm system , impact windows (although you need those anyways). Then running out of room in the safes & having to buy another one etc...etc So in my view security is the biggest pain in the a*s. This especially applies to me since I recently had a home invasion.
  11. wow you bought that issue in '75 when it came out! Holy moly! That predates my time for sure. Did they get released a month prior to the month listed on the books back then? If I ever decide to let this go you'd definitely get first dibs for sure!
  12. Stan must've been really pissed off the day this happened!
  13. Ok now you're freaking me out. I just submitted 2 for a reslab one because the book was moving slightly inside the well the other because the slab had too many scratches & looked like it went through a world war or two!
  14. I didn't phrase the question right. I meant to ask if a page misalignment would be one of the mishaps that would occur? If not then what could go wrong during a reslab?
  15. What is a mishap? Is that when the pages misaligne from the cover during the reslab?
  16. Wow what a masterpiece! And the black cover ! I'm happy for you. Pages white? If you remove the mylar you could avoid some glare.
  17. I know but I think the postmaster general's office might be. USPS is only partially run by the government. Won't effect them
  18. Wonder if centering issues are unique to this particular book or is it just me? I've only seen maybe 2 IH 181s that are perfectly centered. Congratulations on the books though! That book is a treasure no matter what centering or condition!
  19. I think they're on an unplanned vacation for the time being
  20. Did you send it out by registered mail? CGC doesn't require it but recommends you ship that way. Personally I take no chances & always ship registered to CGC even though I'm in Miami
  21. I was thinking of posting this heads up but was unsure whether or not the chat boards had changed the rules. Heck I'd love to post my non CGC slabs without cropping!
